It didn’t take long after the Duke of Sussex and his family landed in the UK for him to bring up the old matter of security arrangements.
Apparently, he’s appealing to the Home Secretary, and asking for a review of his security arrangements.
As the governmental body looks into it, Prince Harry has kept himself busy by accusing another governmental body of not doing its job of alerting him to security threats. Here’s everything we know about Harry’s blistering letter to the chair of RAVEC.
Prince Harry Believes He Faces A Bigger Threat Than His Late Mother Once Did
Prince Harry is kinda like a dog on a bone. Since he stepped back from Royal duties in 2020 and moved across the ocean to America, RAVEC has taken the measures to deprive him of his 24/7 taxpayer-funded police protection.
He has been relentlessly trying to get it back through many a-court trials and appeals.
When he lost his appeal last time, he sure did not take his sweet time before he accused the RAVEC committee of fielding staff members that represent his father and brother on the six council member board.
Now, he’s back again with the finger-pointing. According to a letter written by the Prince’s representatives, the chair of the executive committee of RAVEC failed to pass on information about a terrorist threat, despite being made aware of said threat.
Per the letter, the FBI informed the Prince’s security team about a threat from al-Qaeda in late 2023.
This was done after the American agency received an intelligence from Telegram, where the members of the terrorist group were plotting Harry’s “assassination.”
FBI officials were alerted of this threat through Five Eyes channels – a shared system of intelligence between the UK and the US.
To round it up, Harry then claimed that a member of RAVEC had previously been involved in decisions about his protection prior to joining the body.
Harry has also stressed that with his decade in the military, he faces a bigger threat than his late mother Princess Diana ever did.
Anyway, no one knows where the wind may blow on this one, or why Harry, who previously promised not to bring his wife and kids to the UK unless their security situation changes, is suddenly back home.
