Now, we have even more exciting news for fans of the CBS franchise. Mark Harmon isn’t the only fan fave returning! Keep reading for all of the details, here’s what’s coming up this season on NCIS Origins.
Gibbs Returns To NCIS Franchise
After Mark Harmon left the original NCIS show, CBS launched the prequel, Origins. The spinoff features Gibbs in the 90’s, and the earlier version of the character is played by Austin Stowell. This is the first season that Harmon will be airing in every single episode.
Since there are so many present day scenes starring Gibbs, it makes sense that they would bring back some of his old co-workers.
Tony DiNozzio (Michael Weatherly) already made his Season 3 debut on NCIS Origins. Next week, Emily Wickersham is set to make her return as fan fave Ellie Bishop.
Ellie Bishop Returns In NCIS Origins
Viewers of the popular CBS show will recall that Bishop appeared on NCIS from 2013-2021. According to spoilers from TV Line, “Bishop is “enlisted by new director Tony DiNozzo to help Gibbs on his quest to track down the unknown assailants who shot him,” per the official description. CBS has also released a sneak peek at Bishop’s debut where Gibbs holds a gun on Bishop and she deadpans, “Missed you, too.”
Emily Wickersham’s official return date is scheduled for Tuesday October 27, when NCIS Origins Season 3 Episode 3 airs on CBS.
Spoilers say that Bishop’s return episode is titled, “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” and will air next Tuesday after the original NCIS and before NCIS New York.
Are you looking forward to having Bishop back on NCIS? Are there any other characters you think Origins should bring back?
