Allegedly, there’s a rift between King Charles and Prince William and it’s mostly about faith, the church, and irregular attendance by the future monarch. Read on for details.

Reports Of A Clash About Church

Some critics of royal commentator, Neil Sean believe that he just makes things up. Well, when he discussed the issue about church on his Daily News Headlines on Wednesday, he discussed something that other outlets reported.

For example, Spectator Australia confirmed in their report that “The Church of England is struggling to connect with the average citizen [and]…stories about William’s general disinterest in religion will certainly be unwelcome.”

Charles Feels Church Is Part Of The Job

Elaborating on that, Sean said that King Charles believes it’s very important for the future king to be seen going to church. Apparently, Charles doesn’t think that Prince William and his three kids attend church regularly enough.

After all, from the perspective of Charles, as the head of the Church of England, attendance simply forms part of the job description. So, he should attend regularly. Obviously, he feels that it sets an example for the public. However, Prince William seems rather reserved on that.

William Digs In His Heels

Sean explained that William can be “stubborn, let’s be blunt, on occasions.” Notably, the Prince of Wales prefers doing things his own way. So, he’s not paying much attention to King Charles urging him to get into church regularly. Allegedly, the duo are now at “loggerheads over this.”

Backing up his story, Neil Sean reminded his followers that the late Queen Elizabeth was “very, very aligned to her faith, 100%.” Obviously, King Charles continues that tradition, and wants it to remain. Additionally, the royal analyst talked about a recent rise in young people returning to Christianity in the UK. Not unnaturally, Charles would like to see his son encourage that.

Sean theorized the monarchy should look to the future, but William doesn’t seem to plan on being Queen Elizabeth or King Charles 2.0. Instead, he’s younger and wants to make his own path. Of course, it raises questions about public perception, and whether they’d be unhappy if the royal family isn’t seen attending church often.

In the comments section, one person opined, “Catherine and William do go to church but they do it privately. And it’s William’s business what he does.”

Here are a few more responses from the discussion that followed:

  • William and Katherine attend Anmer Church on a regular basis when in Norfolk.
  • William has the right to protect his family from sociopaths I stand behind him.
  • I do know they go to chapel service in Windsor.
  • If they attend church but don’t make a production of it, I see nothing wrong with that.

What are your thoughts? Do you think that Prince William should make a bigger song and dance about attending church? Let us know in the comments below, and come back here often for all our royal family news and updates.
