Prince Harry is reportedly still of the singular mind that he’s ready to reconcile with his family, or, for now at least, his father – one must take things one at a time, you know?
But King Charles is doubtless anxious that his only two children should make peace before he draws his last breath. But is he going to be able to heal that long-running rift, and how does he plan to exactly settle the accounts?

In 2027, Prince Harry’s sporting event for injured veterans, Invictus Games, will return to the UK – for the first time since 2014.
To make it as glorious and remarkable as possible, as well as score some olive branch points along the way, Prince Harry has extended a VIP invite to his father.
This invite will allow him not to only observe the event, but to participate in its proceedings, in a position said to be only second to Harry’s?
However, if the royal rift is still boiling over by the time 2027 rolls in, won’t King Charles perhaps find himself in an awkward position?
Weighing in on this, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told the BBC: “Invictus has become pivotal.
It is Harry’s great cause and his greatest achievement, and any father would want to support his son as the Games come to the United Kingdom. But it’s not straightforward for the King—sadly for him, his family matters never are.”
“It could become a classic case of a father having to choose between his warring sons,” Bond said. “We can only imagine how William might feel if Charles publicly threw his support behind the [Invictus Games] and Harry.”
Bond staunchly believes that whatever grievances anybody has with any other person is better being worked out in private.
She said: “these issues [between Charles and Harry] are best worked out in private, so any reunion between the King and Harry and his family should take place quietly and behind closed doors. It remains the most sensitive of situations, and the King will have to take everyone’s feelings into account.”
