Here’s How General Hospital Is Redeeming Cassius Faison

When General Hospital revealed that Cassius Faison was an imposter and not really Nathan West, it looked bleak for the character on the ABC soap.

There was speculation that Ryan Paevey might be leaving, because how can the writers really redeem Cassius Faison after his secret is revealed?

But, new GH spoilers hint that the writers could have a fool-proof redemption lined up for the character.

Cassius Is A Kidnapper, But Not A Killer

There’s no denying that Cassius Faison has done some shady things since he arrived in Port Charles.

Stealing his dead brother’s identity and kidnapping Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) definitely weren’t his proudest moments.  But, Cassius has also done some good since he arrived on General Hospital.

General Hospital viewers know that he’s been protecting his sister Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) from his boss this entire time.

Plus, he helped keep Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins) son Rocco from getting arrested and going to prison.  He also has been nothing but good to Lulu, except for lying and saying he was someone else.

Is Cassius Really Protecting Josslyn

Cassius definitely was wrong when he man-handled Josslyn Jacks and kidnapped her.  But, what if he did it to protect her?

Cassius knew that Joss would go back to the WSB with her findings, and Cullum might try to shut her up.

Josslyn is like a dog with a bone, by keeping her locked up at Wyndemere Cassius has technically kept her out of harm’s way.

As long as Josslyn Jacks gets out of this without a hair harmed on her head, Cassius could come back from this ordeal and eventually gain everyone’s trust again in Port Charles.  Do you think that Cassius is a good guy under the surface and just misunderstood?

Can the writers really make him likable after all of this?  Share your thoughts and theories in the comments down below and don’t forget to keep checking Soap Opera Spy daily for new GH spoilers and updates.
