‘GH’ Spoilers Wednesday, July 1: Sonny’s Trap, Carly Confronted, Josslyn Escapes & Brennan Fights for Life

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Wednesday, July 1 tease Gio Palmieri’s (Giovanni Mazza) not moving, while Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) requests an APB.

In the meantime, in the captivity compound beneath Wyndemere Castle, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) work to escape!

Gio’s Not Moving

Still at Pozzulo’s, Gio tells Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) he has no intention of moving out of his house.

After Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) tried to get Sonny to tell Gio to leave, Sonny refused to do that-although he did tell Gio that Tracy made a good point about safety.

Tracy felt like Gio would be safer with the Quartermaines, but Sonny said Gio was an adult, had the information, and could decide what to do with it himself.

Gio seems pretty adamant about his decision, and it doesn’t look like anyone could talk him out of it even if they tried!

Joe’s APB

Joe is now at General Hospital, with Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) behind him looking shocked; he’s on the GH phone at the Nurses’ Desk from the looks of it.

Joe is on the phone with the Port Charles Police Department, telling the person on the other end to put an all points bulletin, also known as an APB, out on Detective Nathan West (Ryan Paevey)!

Lucas will likely not want to believe Joe’s story, but he won’t have a choice-especially if Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) doesn’t keep Cassius Faison’s (Ryan Paevey) secret and he’s at GH too!

Cody Tries To Stop Cassius From Leaving With James

At the batting field, where Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is with “Nathan” and James West, (Gary James Fuller) Cody has finally got the message from Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner).

Kristina had said not to have James with “Nathan” because she and Mac Scorpio (John J. York) had reason to believe “Nathan” isn’t who he says he is!

Now, as Cody sees Cassius trying to leave with James, he addresses the little boy, saying “James, wait, can’t leave”!

Cassius looks confused and worried, and in the back of his mind he might realize the jig is up, and someone’s called Cody and exposed him.

Liesl And Joss Work To Escape!

In the captivity compound under Wyndemere, Liesl and Joss work to escape, as they’ve managed to dig a hole in the wall and  pulled out the wiring to the electric door.

Joss has a wire cutter and a gray wire in her hand as she asks Liesl if this is the right wire.

She’d encouraged Liesl if she figure out cold fusion, she could figure out how to break out of the door and escape.

Neither has any idea that Josslyn’s mother is on the way, and if they’re not stopped, so are Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke)!

Sidwell Holds Justine Hostage

At the Jerome Art Gallery, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) has a gun on Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) and tells her, “Let’s find out how valuable you really are!”

Also in the gallery when Sidwell burst in are Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean); it boggles the mind why Ethan doesn’t have a gun and could have prevented this situation!

The implication is that Sidwell will call Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) or else he’ll force Justine to, in order to draw him there, hence Sonny walks into a trap!

Will this really be Sidwell and Sonny’s final showdown, or will the sneaky Sidwell escape again?

One thing we all know for sure, Sonny’s not going down!

Carly Runs Into Cullum

At Wyndemere, Carly runs into Cullum, and he stops her, saying she saved him a trip!

She’s startled, and she has a worried look on her face, but she knows that Danny and Charlotte will call Sonny-who’ll be unavailable-if she doesn’t call them by 8 pm.

If Cullum would try to put her in the captivity compound downstairs, he’s going to be in for quite the shock-possibly literally if Liesl puts exactly the right wires touching each side of his head!

But, it’s not likely to play out that way, and Danny and  Charlotte aren’t in the boathouse.

It looks like all this is working together to all blow up in Cullum’s face!

Frantic Nina Tries To Save Jack

In the meantime, a frantic Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) tries to save Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) who Cullum set the stage for him to be gassed to death!

Nina has managed to get the contraption off his face and the gas tank is no longer in view, but she’s scared because he’s still not breathing!

On top of everything else, Cullum, who has his medical proxy put a Do Not Resuscitate order, or DNR, on file with the WSB and Turning Woods!

Will Nina be able to save Jack’s life, or is he already too far gone to save?
