Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) laid it all out when she summoned Chase — calling him out for being suspended from the PCPD and questioning his integrity and faithfulness to her granddaughter.
Nobody could’ve seen that coming. Seems like Tracy might have a little too much time on her hands. Regardless, Brook Lynn jumped right in to defend her husband and her marriage, asking her Granny to stay out of it.
But I can’t help but think writing this tidbit into Tracy’s storyline this week is some kind of foreshadowing of what’s to come.
If Chase is bound to become a cheater, it’s definite that Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) will be his kryptonite.
Rumor Has It
Word on the street is that a leading man is going to be leaving Port Charles soon in some capacity — be that written off, running off, or being offed!
Some fans have speculated that Chase could be the unlucky guy on the chopping block. If you think about it, he hasn’t had a very good storyline in a while.
That being said, the writers may just be giving him some time off after getting married, losing his dad, losing his brother, raising his niece then saying goodbye to her, and then learning his wife had a secret baby with his work partner years ago at the same time that he discovers he’s sterile.
That was a lot, no? Maybe it’s downtime, or maybe Chase’s story is about to wrap up.
Willow is Forever Grateful
Willow just found out she’s walking away a free woman. The jury came to its rightful conclusion, despite interference from all angles.
As District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) sat there stunned, Willow wept in disbelief, signaling she was certain she was going to be going away until that point.
As soon as the shock wears off, she’ll be thanking the people who carried her across the finish line.
Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) might think he’s at the top of that list, but Willow is more grateful to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), and to Chase — who never gave up on her.
Now that she knows she’s going to be sticking around, will she expect Chase’s commitment to her to lead to something more than him being an old friend and her ex-husband?
Dante Just Can’t Keep His Mouth Shut
A couple months ago, we saw Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) share details of Chase’s side hustle investigation with Brook Lynn.
Was he planting a seed, making conversation, or trying to sabotage his friend? Either way, he was upset that Chase was going against the PCPD’s efforts, and likely thought she would be too. He was right.
Doubling down on that, it’s likely that Dante is going to tell Brook Lynn all about Chase’s newly invigorated zest for chasing down the truth that he is convinced will be Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) as the guilty party.
How might Brook Lynn feel about her husband going above and beyond to skewer Michael when this is clearly no longer about protecting Willow?
Could her continued disappointment make Chase that much more likely to give in to Willow’s praise and thanks, and end up doing th one thing he swore he’d never do? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
