General Hospital spoilers and updates for Thursday, January 8 tease Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) makes an admission, while Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) makes a risky legal move. Plus, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) loses his cool!
Dante’s Admission
Dante appears to be at the Quartermaine mansion as he tells Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase (Amanda Setton) he didn’t want to do that!
Brook Lynn is extremely annoyed as she tells him, well, then fix it! No doubt the tense conversation pertains to Dante’s suspending Brook Lynn’s husband, Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), and Brook Lynn wants her husband un-suspended!
Brook Lynn will likely understand why Dante felt he had to suspend Chase if he tells her the truth-that Chase was not able to be objective regarding the Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) case.
Moreover, Chase had gone rogue in that he did his own outside investigations to try and exonerate his ex.
Trina And Kai Make A Huge Realization
In the meantime, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) will make a huge realization about who shot Drew, and it may not be the one they thought they would!
Trina and Kai set up with a reluctant Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) to stage a scenario where Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) would call Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) within earshot to hear his ringtone.
It looks like Kai is hesitating to act as they presumably are at the agreed upon location, with an impatient Trina telling an annoyed Kai he has a chance to get the truth right now!
However, there may be a good reason for the delay-especially if they’re lurking somewhere at the Quartermaine mansion.
Gio’s In A Hurry
As Trina and Kai are likely waiting, someone else is at the door-Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) has shown up to talk to Gio.
As he’s looking impatiently at Kristina, she notes that he’s in a rush-and asks what’s the hurry?
That could be awkward, especially since Kristina is Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) sister and the ringtone they’re trying to hear could either implicate or exonerate him as being Drew’s shooter.
“Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” may or may not be Michael’s special ringtone for Wiley. GH fans already know it’s Drew’s for Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) and perhaps Willow’s too.

Alexis’ Risky Legal Move
In the courtroom, Alexis is going over her risky legal move with Willow, as she tells her she’s “their best shot at turning that around”.
Alexis had seemed to successfully obtain reasonable doubt that Willow was the one who shot Drew, by pointing the finger at Michael and destroying his alibi.
What Alexis may be referring to is having Willow shoot down what Drew plans to say on the stand, possibly disagreeing with some points.
Apparently, Drew thinks by further throwing Michael under the bus even more than he has, will create a “Perry Mason” moment where Michael is thrown in jail right away, without due process!

Drew Loses His Cool
Considering Drew loses his cool on stand, that might be exactly what Alexis has directed Willow to do, and it’s a risky move because the jury could be more influenced to convict Willow.
He is on the stand as he convincingly says he is there to set the record straight. Whatever happens in response to his testimony, his blowing up and going ballistic is only going to make him look worse, not Willow look better!
Even if Drew did suddenly remember a detail about the night he was shot, there’s no way he could have seen who his shooter was.
He was shot in the back two times, although whoever the shooter was, he or she didn’t stick around to make sure he was dead!

Sonny And Brook Lynn Reconnect
In the meantime, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Brook Lynn reconnect; and Sonny tells her “you got to believe that”!
Perhaps this is fallout from the earlier tense conversation between Brook Lynn and Dante, although Brook Lynn would be upset with Dante throwing Michael under the bus as well as his suspending Chase.
On the other hand, the topic of discussion could be Gio and Dante’s attitude towards him-which he’s been trying to improve.
Dante has realized he’s perhaps unconsciously been not objective about Michael in regards to the shooting, perhaps he’s realized the same about his dealings with Gio.
