General Hospital spoilers say that if there’s anything that we’ve learned about life in Port Charles, it’s that there’s a traditional calendar, and then there’s the soap opera calendar that works on a completely different schedule.

This Detail Is Not Making Sense About Portia’s Pregnancy

Because of that, a lot of people can’t help but point out that this one detail about Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) just doesn’t make any sense.

That’s because she and Curtis made love back on August 15 of last summer. Yet, she’s now been pregnant for well over ten months with no due date in sight. And for some fans, they just can’t help but scratch their heads over it.

How much longer will it be before Portia gives birth? Of course, many GH fans certainly had a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some even commented with, “The show has never run day for day with real life. If it did, they only have 5 days for every 7 days we have… so she probably is technically at the right pregnancy stage.”

Another fan wrote, “The holidays always line up. Over long stretches the days have to mean something in real life. It’s a good thing that the baby wasn’t conceived on July 4th or else we’d soon have an issue.”

And then there was this comment as well: “I seem to recall Robin being pregnant with Emma for almost an entire year, so as others have said – this is nothing new for GH.”

When Is Portia Giving Birth?

“This is a soap where they stretch everything out. One day can be 2 weeks of shows. Alexis was pregnant with Molly for a year.”

Now, whether or not Portia gives birth any time soon, remains to be seen. Of course, General Hospital fans will have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next!
