Who Are Going To Be The New Mob Successors?
Now that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has stepped away and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has one foot out the door, a lot of viewers can’t help but wonder what’s next for the mob in Port Charles and if anyone is going to take over the reins.
It could easily be someone who is already very invested in the day to day drama that goes on in Port Charles, or it could be someone from the past. One name that comes to mind is Sonny’s son, Morgan Corinthos.
Of course, many GH fans certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.
Some even commented with, “I would have loved a story where Morgan came back to take down Sonny, where Sonny then decided to pass it over to him. Throw in Jake as Morgan’s hitman and interpersonal conflict and you’ve got yourself a good time.”
Another critic wrote, “No. Let the mob phase out and bring the stories back where they belong. Centered around the hospital, what is left of legacy families and characters, and expand the WSB storylines for the big action/adventure stories. Give Elizabeth the decent guy she deserves, bring her kids home, and make the Webbers a main focus once again.”
What’s Next For The Mob?
And then there was this comment as well: “I’ve always thought that Morgan should’ve been brought back and there should’ve been a storyline where Sonny reluctantly passed the business to Morgan.”
“Felt the show could do a solid job of having Morgan be a darker shade of grey than Sonny. Morgan could still have his redeeming qualities but he would be no one’s idea of a hero as mob boss.”
Then again, GH fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.
