GH Spoilers: Maxie Wakes Up With Amnesia, Thinks She’s Still Married To Nathan?

General Hospital fans have been counting down the return of Kirsten Storms as Maxie Jones for months and the big day is finally almost here. 

Previews for February Sweeps reveal the fan favorite will be waking up from her coma this month, and you won’t want to miss a moment of the drama.  Will Maxie have her memory when she wakes up though?

Maxie Wakes Up

It wouldn’t be a good soap opera coma if Maxie Jones didn’t wake up from her slumber with a case of convenient amnesia. 

General Hospital viewers know that when Maxie went to sleep she was with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).  When she wakes up will she think that she’s still married to Nathan West (Ryan Paevey)?

After mourning the loss of her husband Det. Nathan West for an admirable period of time, Maxie healed and moved on with her baby-daddy Spinelli and their daughter Georgie.

Fast forward to August 2025, and Maxie was the victim of an attack by baddie Jenz Sidwell.  She survived the lethal dose of poison, but slipped in to a coma and has been at a hospital in Boston ever since.  

An Unexpected Nathan West Reunion

When Maxie checked out in August, she had no idea her dead husband had returned to the Land of the Living.  Nathan made Maxie a widow back in 2018. 

Ironically, he returned to Port Charles just a month after his ex-wife was poisoned and shipped off for a hospital stay in Boston.  

It’s not unusual for soap characters to wake up from comas and have issues with their memory.  Sometimes people wake up and have short-term memory loss and think it’s a much earlier date. 

The General Hospital rumor mill is hinting that when Maxie wakes up this week, she might think she’s still married to Nathan.  Imagine her shock when she finds out he’s been hanging out with her former bestie Lulu Falconeri (Alexa Havins).
