GH Spoilers: Kai Isn’t Ditching Drew — Here’s Why!

General Hospital spoilers gush Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) was brimming with excitement and anticipated relief over the very thought of putting in his resignation as Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) assistant.

As soon as Willow Tait Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) trial closed, he was prepared to walk away from Drew and all of the drama that came with him.

But Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) words are still ringing in his mind, reminding him that he may be able to do more good work being in Drew’s orbit, and that anyone who is successful at what they do ends up compromising sooner or later.

So will his decision to stick with Drew post-stroke fall on deaf ears when he has to break the news to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali)?

Kai Second Guesses His Decision

The last thing Kai was expecting was for Drew to have a stroke. The second to last thing he was expecting was that he would end up being suspicious of Willow for it.

He and Trina just got off the crazy train that was playing investigator and trying to solve the mystery of who shot Drew.

Jumping back on it to determine whether Willow could have had some role in making him have a stroke doesn’t sound all that fun.

But Kai is trying to build a career for himself, and it seems some part of him feels responsible for seeing this through. Will he still have Trina by his side though?

Trina Knows How to Throw a Tantrum

Trina isn’t good with inconsistency as of late. She’s been pretty upset with her family dynamics. Learning that her mother, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), cheated on her dad and got pregnant by another man was a lot to take in — much more so in a public forum.

She still hasn’t forgiven Portia for being so careless, and she doesn’t trust that she was going to do the right thing with the paternity test in the near future.

Right now, Trina needs stability and certainty. Kai turning the tables on her and deciding to stick it out even longer with Congressman Cutthroat may be more than she can bear.

It’s All About Integrity

Trina is a rather principled young lady. Don’t get me wrong; Kai has more than made up for the mistakes he made when he questioned her family and took Drew’s side. But seeing him err on the side of protecting Drew again is probably going to throw Trina for a loop.

She hates the guy, and while she wouldn’t intentionally wish harm on anyone, she has too much on her plate right now to bother with playing detective and snooping around on Willow — again.
