GH Spoilers: Chase’s Demotion Stirs The Pot In The Quartermaine Kitchen

General Hospital spoilers claim Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) sounds like he’s going to be headed back to work as a patrol officer.

Chasing down bad guys in the name of keeping Port Charles safe is still right up his alley, even if it’s not quite as swanky and niche as being a detective.

But having Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) be the one who made the call to demote him came as a crushing blow.

Chase is already embroiled in an ongoing fight with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), and now it seems he and Dante’s friendship is on its last leg. There’s just one problem. Chase is the only one who married into the Quartermaine family, and it’s no secret they favor their own.

A Family Feud is in Order

Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) has stayed out of the fray so far, but she’s not going to let Michael wither on the vine just so Chase can keep defending the honor of his ex-wife.

She offered a sympathetic ear when Chase told her what happened at the PCPD, but he didn’t mention the way it left him feeling about Dante.

As these two boys in blue are forced to interact outside the office, it could make for some uncomfortable encounters at the Q mansion.

Will Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) continue to defend her husband — even if she understands Dante’s point of view?

A Farewell is Looming

Remember that a rumor slipped out about a month ago claiming we would be saying goodbye to one of our beloved leading men. The list of who that might be has been rather short from what I can see.

Some of the guys in Port Chuck have meaty storylines right now that make it seem like whoever is on their way out is more likely to be someone who just doesn’t fit anymore. With his dad and brother gone, Chase’s character development took a bit of a hit.

He seems to serve no purpose anymore but to give Brook Lynn someone to play off of. Could it be Chase is the leading man we’re saying goodbye to?

Darker Days Ahead for Dante

If that’s the case, Dante is bound to get hit with some serious grief over the way things have gone down between them in what would ultimately be Chase’s final week or months.

Moreover, Brook Lynn may never forgive him if Chase is hurt in the line of duty as a patrol officer — back on the street where Dante put him.

On the flipside, if Chase isn’t going anywhere, then the family feuds are likely to continue as well. Brook Lynn is committed to supporting her hubby, and that may make things awkward with baby daddy Dante.

Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) could understand, but Michael allying with his brother might only make the Acting Police Commissioner look worse right now if the PCPD is building a case against him.
