Part of the reason for that is BLQ making Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) an accomplice by pointing the PCPD in Willow’s direction.
Lucy implicated Willow in Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) accident which is a lie and all Lucy wants in return is controlling interest of Deception.

Lucy also knows that Brook Lynn was drinking that same night and could have been the one who caused the accident.
If Lucy doesn’t get what she probably keeps demanding of Brook Lynn she could tell Chase what Brook Lynn did.
Lucy’s Blackmail
Chase and BLQ are a mismatch, a choir boy and a viper—at the very least a Quartermaine.
If Chase discovers what BLQ did he would defend Willow in a hot minute and potentially cut his wife free.
