GH Spoilers: BLQ Puts Chase On The Spot — Why Won’t He Drop The Vendetta Against Michael?

General Hospital spoilers leak Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) sure didn’t hold back when her hubby, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), pushed back at her attempts to get him to simmer down over his upset with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).

Chase is a dog with a bone, and he can’t even seem to explain to his wife why he can’t just drop this vendetta. Why is Chase so bent on making sure Michael goes down for shooting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

Brook Lynn was right that it could have been any number of people who wanted Drew dead.

Why is he so convinced that it must be Michael and he must have been trying to frame Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen)? The answer may not be one he nor Brook Lynn are ready to confront.

Is Chase Still Carrying a Torch for BLQ?

The obvious answer is that Chase is still hung up on his ex-wife in some fashion. Sure, Willow might not have really been in love with Chase when she married him, but he absolutely was. She was kind of the one who got away — and he lost her to Michael long before he knew it.

Willow married him out of pity and thought she might sacrifice her own happiness to be his wife because she thought he was dying.

When he survived, it became harder to stay faithful, and that resulted in an affair with Michael. It sounds like Chase isn’t as over that as he told himself all these years.

GH Spoilers Reveal It’s Probably Not That Simple

Still, it’s probably not as black and white as Chase still carrying a torch for Willow. He was and is absolutely in love with his wife. They haven’t even crossed their second wedding anniversary yet, but much has changed in the time since they wed.

For starters, Chase lost his family and found out he can’t build a new one — at least not the old-fashioned way. Then he found out his wife already has a child with someone else.

Would recouping affection from Willow somehow make up for the sting of knowing she never really loved him back then? Is that what he’s chasing, and is the pain of his childless marriage and flailing career making it far too easy to live in the past?

Cooler Heads Prevail

Certainly, Chase would be better off nixing his plan to take Michael down and working on helping Willow get her kids back — if anything. Emphasis on the “if anything.”

Brook Lynn zeroed in on Chase during their lunch date at Bobbie’s and called him out for investigating Michael, claiming it’s just as much of a conflict of interest as he claims it is for Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos) to question him about the shooting.
