GH Spoilers: 3 Storylines That Need to End – Failed Romances & Frustrating Drama!

General Hospital spoilers and updates indicate that the show is currently juggling numerous storylines. Some are thrilling and deliver must-see episodes, while others are falling flat!

So, let’s discuss three plots that should wrap up immediately. Here are the storylines that need to be left behind as soon as possible.

Key Takeaways

  • Serena’s Deception drama is failing to generate much excitement
  • Anna’s PTSD storyline could finally be nearing a turning point
  • Elizabeth’s love triangle with Dante and Ric feels repetitive
  • Serena’s possible romance with Jason has yet to deliver convincing sparks
  • Three frustrating plots could benefit from a dramatic conclusion

Number One – The Serena Deception Drama

When the announcement came that Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) would be returning to Port Charles with a new actress in the role, it initially sounded exciting.

However, it quickly became apparent that the show lacked a solid direction for Serena, who seems out of place and doesn’t contribute significantly to the storyline.

The GH writers abandoned the idea of a romance between her and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and are now seemingly exploring a connection with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but the chemistry isn’t convincing everyone.

As Serena and Jason’s potential romance raises questions, it’s hard not to wonder whether the writers have a bigger plan for her.

Moreover, is anyone genuinely interested in the story about the rescued falcons or whether Deception becomes part of ELQ?

This plotline is falling flat and should be wrapped up sooner rather than later.

Number Two – Anna’s Struggles With PTSD

Following her abduction and captivity at Wyndemere, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) found herself in a mental health facility in France.

Although she managed to convincingly fake her recovery to gain her release, viewers were still subjected to her haunting hallucinations of Peter August (Wes Ramsey).

After a dramatic confrontation with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) at Mount Emerson, Anna sought therapy to confront her issues stemming from Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).

As Anna’s emotional struggles continued to affect her relationships, viewers were left wondering when she would finally find some peace.

Many fans are rooting for Anna to overcome these challenges so she can finally move forward.

Finola Hughes is delivering an outstanding performance, and it would be refreshing to see Anna reclaim her fierce, authentic self.

Fortunately, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel, as Anna made significant progress in the October 29 episode.

Number Three – Elizabeth And Dante Versus Elizabeth And Ric

We support Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) having her own storyline, but the love triangle involving Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) leaves much to be desired.

The repetitive bonding moments between Dante and Elizabeth lack entertainment value.

Liz doesn’t seem to spark with either Dante or Ric, making this love triangle feel like a disappointment.

As Elizabeth and Dante continue growing closer, the storyline seems to be moving at a frustratingly slow pace.

The show has been teasing Ric’s jealousy and potential breakdown for months, yet the big payoff still hasn’t arrived.

Let’s hope for a dramatic twist that finally pushes this storyline toward an exciting conclusion!

Editor’s Take

I think General Hospital has some fantastic stories happening right now, but these three could use a serious shake-up. Serena’s return should have been exciting, yet the Deception drama just isn’t doing much for me.

Finola Hughes has been wonderful, and I’d love to see Anna finally get some peace and return to being the strong woman we know. As for Elizabeth, I want her to have a great romance, but the writers need to give this love triangle some real fireworks or move on!
