GH Spoilers: 3 Controversial Character Changes That Have Left Fans Disappointed

General Hospital spoilers and updates indicate that several characters have undergone significant changes that haven’t resonated well with fans.

Social media is buzzing with complaints regarding certain residents of Port Charles and the paths their stories are taking.

Number One-Jason Morgan

With this in mind, let’s discuss three character transformations that have been met with disappointment.

There are at least three individuals from PC who have evolved to align with their stories, yet many GH fans are hoping for a return to their former selves!

To start, we have Jason Morgan (Steve Burton); since his return from WSB imprisonment in Jakarta, a lot of viewers have lost interest in him as a character.

While we understand that Jason has faced trauma and commend his efforts to be a better father, he has become somewhat uninteresting. Jason has distanced himself from the mob and is now sporting a new wardrobe.

Jason’s Turning Into Just Another Boring Cog In The ELQ Wheel

The remnants of the old Jason are being erased to pave the way for a new version, but who is Jason now?

It’s a relief that the show is moving Jason away from the action hero persona, as he couldn’t maintain that forever, yet this transition has rendered him rather dull.

Additionally, Jason’s relationship with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) appears to be struggling, indicating that the show needs to find a way to revamp Jason in a more thrilling manner. If not, he risks becoming just another unremarkable part of the ELQ corporate machine.

Number Two-Josslyn Jacks

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) has experienced a significant character evolution in recent years, resulting in a reduction of her personality.

Rather than being a multifaceted character, Josslyn now primarily serves as a WSB agent, often reacting aggressively towards her adversaries.

Her scenes typically showcase her in a state of outrage, smugness, or a combination of both, leading to a lack of diversity in her character portrayal.

Many fans long for the days when Josslyn was more than just her WSB role and are hopeful that the show will address this issue in the future. Others find her unrealistic in this role, many nicknaming her “Agent Barbie” after the Barbie doll!

Number Three-Anna Devane

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is understandably dealing with PTSD after her tumultuous experiences, yet her storyline has not resonated well with fans.

Following months of Anna being sidelined and confined due to her mental health struggles, the character of “Peter August” (Wes Ramsey) has entered the narrative, further complicating Anna’s situation.

It would be refreshing to witness Anna receive the support she needs and gradually return to her true self.

While that transformation is on the horizon, viewers must endure these unsettling visions of Peter for now. Let’s hope that once this storyline concludes, it marks the end of Peter’s presence in any capacity!

Rita Ryan: Rita Ryan has been writing since the age of thirteen, starting with songs and later short plays and articles. In her teenage years she was known as “Rita Lorraine” and tried to get into the country music recording industry in the 1970s and later the gospel music industry in the 1990s. Now, she concentrates her writing on soap opera spoilers specializing in General Hospital, aspires to write a series of family-friendly mysteries in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries style, and the rest of her time is spent being grandma to her three grandchildren and cat mama to Mollie & Missie. She is married to her childhood sweetheart whom she rediscovered after 30 years apart.
