GH Halloween Rumors: Sam McCall’s Shocking Resurrection, Cyrus Returns From The Dead?

General Hospital spoilers suggest that while Halloween will be a memory of the past by the week of November 2-6, Port Charles will celebrate the holiday over the next five days.

With that said, the spooky day also commemorates two years since Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) passed away, and loved ones will take the time to remember her.

Still, there’s been some speculation that the ABC soap could resurrect Sam and bring her back, along with her murderer, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), so let’s talk about it.

Key Takeaways

  • Port Charles remembers Sam McCall two years after her death
  • Cyrus Renault murdered Sam and Dex using digitalis
  • Kelly Monaco’s recent social media activity fuels comeback speculation
  • Sam’s possible resurrection could change everything for her family
  • Cyrus could also return if the WSB covered up his death

Sam McCall’s Passing Rocked Port Charles

General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Sam passed away after routine liver transplant surgery.

Sam donated a piece of her liver to Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), who was still in a coma at the time.

As Sam was super healthy, it was a shock that she went into cardiac arrest.

This was all because Cyrus snuck into her hospital room and injected her with digitalis, something he also did to Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) months later to ensure he passed away, too.

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) ended up looking into Dex’s passing and realized Cyrus was behind it.

She then ended Cyrus’s life in February 2025.

But is there a possibility that General Hospital could reverse these two deaths and bring Sam and Cyrus back to life?

As earlier speculation about Sam returning to save Scout suggested, a resurrection could have major consequences for her family.

The Speculation

Kelly Monaco has increased her activity on social media recently, posting really nice photos and updates for her fans.

In fact, in September, she announced she was over six months sober!

The posting has made fans wonder if Sam could return.

Especially since her name has been mentioned quite a bit in dialogue recently, and this week, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) are going to commemorate Sam’s passing.

As Kelly Monaco’s recent social media activity has fans talking, speculation about Sam’s return continues, although nothing has been confirmed.

Fans know that anyone can be brought back to life in the land of soaps.

It’s happened time and time again.

After all, if Jake Webber (Hudson West) can return after getting hit by a car, being declared brain dead, and donating his kidney to Joss, anyone can, right?

The same could be said for Cyrus.

Sure, Josslyn shot him, but the WSB hauled him away to get rid of any evidence.

Does the spy agency have a miracle drug that brings people back to life?

Anything is possible!

Even Sam’s death continues to affect Alexis and her family, so bringing her back would certainly shake up Port Charles.

Could the ABC soap be setting something up for its Halloween episodes?

Could Sam or Cyrus return?

Maybe both?!

Only time will tell.

Editor’s Take

I’d love to see Kelly Monaco return as Sam, especially with everything happening to Danny and Scout. Those kids could certainly use their mother right now, and can you imagine Drew’s reaction if Sam suddenly walked back into Port Charles?

But I’m not nearly as excited about the possibility of Cyrus returning. He’s caused enough misery already! Then again, this is General Hospital, and if the writers can find a way to bring someone back from the dead, they usually will.

Still, Kelly posting more on social media doesn’t mean a comeback is happening. Until ABC confirms something, I’m treating both possible returns as speculation.
