GH Alum Jeff Kober (Cyrus Renault) Scores Major Emmy Recognition

General Hospital spoilers note it’s been a hot minute since Cyrus Renault has been seen in the land of Port Charles; however, his portrayer, Jeff Kober, has been a busy bee.

In fact, he recently snagged major Emmy recognition for a role he played in prime time. More details are below.

Congratulations, Jeff Kober!

Kober recently earned a 2026 Primetime Emmy nomination in the category of Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.

This was for her performance on HBO’s The Pitt, as Duke Ekins, a motorcycle engineer who also happens to be a close friend of Dr. Robby, played by Noah Wyle.

Also nominated for the Emmy award in this category are Jeff Hiller for Pluribus, Colman Domingo for Euphoria, Jonathan Pryce for a role in Slow Horses, Bradley Whitford for The Diplomat, and fellow The Pitt colleague, Ernest Harden Jr.

More Emmy Gold

Some fans may recall that Kober won a Daytime Emmy gold in 2022 for playing Cyrus in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

Interestingly enough, as he was on the soap in 2025, there’s always a chance he gets nominated for his work on General Hospital.

The Daytime Emmy nominations roll out on Tuesday, July 14, so only time will tell. It would be pretty cool if Kober were nominated for both a Daytime and Primetime Emmy this award season.

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) shot Cyrus twice in the back, ending his dastardly reign on the show in February 2025.

It was all payback to Cyrus’s role in her boyfriend, Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) passing.

Plus, she was also egged on a little by Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), who was looking to see if Joss had what it took to be a WSB agent.

As fans know, she did and wound up getting recruited to the super spy agency.
