General Hospital Alum Chad Duell Is Being Bullied For This Reason

Chad, who was once best known for his role as Michael Corinthos on the hit ABC soap, has decided to step away from the daytime television world and pursue a new career in music.

The actor has released a new song on Spotify called “Static in the Quiet Room” and took to Instagram to write, “The song is about that weird space when you can feel someone you were close to slowly becoming distant. They’re still there, but somehow they don’t feel as close anymore. Like you’re trying to hold onto something that’s already starting to fade.”

“I’ve been experimenting a lot with music lately and trying to find my own sound, and this is probably one of my favorite things I’ve made so far.”

That said, let’s just say that his General Hospital fans feel rather split about it. Some of the critics were downright mean.

Some took social media to comment on the matter with, “So apparently Chad Duell left General Hospital and became Duelly, which is information I was not prepared to receive.

Yes, for those of you who hadn’t heard, Chad Duell is making music now. And yes, he calls himself Duelly. That was not an unfortunate typo.”

What’s Next For Chad Duell?

Another critic wrote, “The first Duelly experience nearly blew out my hearing devices. This most recent Duelly track only made me check to see if they were malfunctioning.”

“But hey, he says he’s experimenting and trying to find his sound, and I actually respect anyone willing to try something completely different after playing Michael Corinthos for 15 years.”

So far Chad himself has not made any comments about the criticism he’s received, although at this point it’s doubtful that he will say anything.

But at the same time, it’ll be interesting to see if he does release more music in the future. Watch this space as we have a feeling there is so much more to come.
