General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a new feud is about to blow up. Since Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has been stymied when it comes to getting revenge on Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) for now, he’s taking a stand against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
In the past, Drew’s issues were more about Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) than Sonny, but now Drew clearly has big problems with Sonny, too. Drew is rising up as a threat, so Sonny is eager to shut him down.
That’s why Sonny turned to Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) for help in GH’s August 12 episode. Sonny needs to figure out the best way to get everything he wants and make sure Drew gets nothing.
However, Drew has other plans since he hopes to go up against Sonny in the auction for Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) most valuable assets.
It’s clear that Drew wants to minimize Sonny’s power in Port Charles, but he may pay the price for launching this conflict.
Drew should really just be grateful that he’s no longer locked in and concentrate on rebuilding his relationship with Scout Quartermaine (Kayden Brenna Tokarksi). Instead, Drew is throwing all his time and energy into being the same awful person he was before.
Everyone knows Sonny is a fierce man to be feared in Port Charles. That’s not going to change just because Sonny is getting out of the mob.
Sonny is the kind of character who doesn’t lose very often – and when he does lose, it’s not for very long! In other words, Drew is fighting a battle that he can’t truly win, so he needs to be prepared for another mountain of trouble.
Willow was able to get a grip on Drew thanks to Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) blackmail material. Maybe Sonny could get his hands on that blackmail material next or at least find some other dirt to use against Drew.
Then again, Sonny may find other ways to plot Drew’s downfall and keep his own top dog status. Regardless, Drew and Sonny’s battle could lead to some wild fallout that affects multiple PC residents depending on how it all goes down.
Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) alliance with Drew is sure to come back to bite her in the midst of all this, so stay tuned to watch Sonny strike back.
