‘Eastenders’ Spoilers Weekly Update: Mark Fowler Jr. Returns, Oscar  Rats Out Jasmine’s Getaway Plan, George Has Big News For Elaine

EastEnders Weekly 01/23/2026 #2 EastEnders Spoilers Week Of January 26:  Mark Fowler Jr. Returns, Oscar  Rats Out Jasmine’s Getaway Plan, George Has Big News For ElaineEastEnders spoilers and updates for the week of January 26 reveal Mark Fowler, Jr. (Stephen Aaron-Sipple) returns, while Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) rats out Jasmine Fisher’s (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness)  getaway plan. 

In the meantime, George Knight (Colin Salmon) has some very big news for his ex, Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe).

Mark Fowler Jr. Returns

Mark Fowler Jr, the son of Michelle Fowler (Jenna Russell) and Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp), comes back to Walford after spending years in Florida.

Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig), Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), and Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) are shocked to see him and want to know why he’s there-he quickly makes up a story, saying he’s there to support his sister before Joel Marshall’s (Max Murray) trial.

 In her absence, he tells his uncle Phil the real situation and asks for assistance. However, Phil is too focused on his plan to take Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) to Portugal that night.

To make Phil stay, Mark reveals Phil’s secret plan to an unaware Julie Bates (Karen Henthorn). Will this help Mark or create more issues for him?

Max Busts Jasmine’s Getaway Plan

Jasmine is more desperate than ever to leave Albert Square. She dropped a bombshell about Max Branning (Jake Wood) and lied to Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) about giving a police statement on Chrissie Watts’ (Tracy-Ann Oberman) role in Anthony Trueman’s (Nicholas Bailey) murder.

When Max finds out she won’t save Zoe, he uses this to keep her away from Oscar. Later, Oscar accidentally tells Kat about his and Jasmine’s plan to run away; Kat is shocked, especially when Patrick blames her for pressuring Jasmine to help Zoe.

Meanwhile, Max tells his son he confronted Jasmine and is furious-Kat decides to uncover Jasmine’s lies.

George Has Big News For Elaine

George believes it is the perfect moment to inform his ex-wife Elaine that he is going to be a father with Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington).

They arrange to meet for a drink, but Elaine arrives under the impression that George might be interested in rekindling their relationship, a notion encouraged by some words of wisdom from Bea Pollard (Roni Ancona). As they sit down together, George finds himself in a rather awkward situation.

Elaine is heartbroken and feels a deep sense of humiliation. This leads her to lash out at Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) – and understandably, he is not very happy about it.

Elaine Goes To War With Ian

The week takes a turn for the worse when Elaine discovers she’s featured prominently in the Walford Gazette due to Ian’s tip-off. She devises a plan for revenge, but things spiral out of control, putting Kathy Beale (Gilliam Taylforth) in the middle as he schemes on his own.

When Elaine tries to apologize, the Beales make it clear they won’t forgive her. A confrontation breaks out at the cafe, and Ian goes to Peacock Palace, where he tells Elaine he plans to run for Councillor Donald Barker’s (Iain Fletcher) council seat.

If he wins, he will close her boutique hotel-furious, Elaine decides to counter him by running for Barker’s position as well.

Ravi Is Struggling, Unable To Support Avani At Court

Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) is still upset after attacking Davinder “Nugget” Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) during a fight-next week, he tries to help his son regain confidence.

The teen hasn’t left the flat, so Ravi gives him and his friend, Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega), some cash for a day out. This seems to work, and Ravi and Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) are happy to hear their son is going back to Sixth Form.

Later, Ravi worries when Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) asks him to support her in court for Joel’s trial.

He promises to be there but then Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) asks him to inform on London’s drug dealers; Priya is angry that he wasn’t there for their daughter, and he feels guilty and self-hating.

Vicki Confides In Zack About Her Anxiety

Before Joel’s trial begins, Vicki confides in Zack Hudson (James Farrar) about her anxiety regarding facing him in court. He devises a plan to lift her spirits and invites her to his apartment to try out some new recipes he’s created for The Vic’s kitchen.

Although she appreciates the distraction and his thoughtful gesture, her mind remains unsettled as she heads to the courthouse with her partner Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw) and Mark. Observing her distress, Zack makes a spontaneous decision to join them.

Joel Puts On A Brave Face As Tommy Takes The Witness Stand

As Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) takes the witness stand, Joel puts on a brave face while testifying against him.

Vicki is horrified by the defense’s strategies and rushes out of the courtroom. The proceedings continue, but the tension remains palpable for both Vicki and Avani.

Ross struggles to confront his son and declines a request for a visit, opting instead to see another resident of Walford. When that visit doesn’t go as planned, the trial resumes, taking an unexpected twist.

Bea Looks For A Job

Eager to find stability, Bea embarks on a job search. Her efforts seem fruitless until she catches someone attempting to shoplift from the Minute Mart and decides to intervene.

This quick action prompts her to apply for a position at the store, and she demonstrates her capabilities by assisting Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) in cleaning up after two teenage girls wreak havoc.

Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) is genuinely impressed by her dedication and hard work, but will he extend a job offer to her?
