Let’s explore what Kristen is planning against EJ’s son and now his daughter. It’s clear that Kristen has a death wish, and her brother seems ready to fulfill it. DiMera siblings are known for their fierce rivalries, as seen in the history of Days of Our Lives.
EJ and Kristen have been in conflict ever since he took her mother, Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle), and kept her hidden away.
EJ Didn’t Hurt Rachel Blake, He Just Hid Her
He didn’t harm her-he simply concealed her; this way, the police couldn’t compel Kristen’s mother to testify against EJ.
It all began when the dreadful Arnold Feniger (Galen Gering), who looked just like Rafe Hernandez, returned after being thought dead for years.
EJ chose to use Arnold since he couldn’t eliminate him, and consequently, they had to imprison Rafe; EJ then ended up hiding him in a secluded spot where Rachel Blake was located.
Honestly, if Kristen had been clever, she would have just kept her own mother away from the police, and EJ wouldn’t have needed to hide her.
Kristen Kept Pushing Her Mom To Testify Against EJ, And It Led To Little Rachel Shooting Him
Instead, Kristen was essentially pushing her mom to testify against EJ, probably because Kristen is just that crazy. This situation ultimately led to EJ’s niece, Rachel Black (Lorelei Olivia Mote), shooting him.
Now, Kristen is blaming EJ for her evil daughter Rachel being in a mental health facility-meanwhile, EJ understands that the real issue is her mom’s toxicity.
Little Rachel’s mom is also problematic, and honestly, Kristen’s mom has issues too, but Kristen refuses to see her own shortcomings as a parent.
To make matters worse, little Rachel is soon heartbroken, crying uncontrollably while Kristen and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) try to comfort their daughter, who learns that her wicked little friend Sophia has died from an apparent suicide.
Twisted, Twisted, Twisted!
What’s even more twisted is that Kristen is comforting Rachel after she killed her best friend.
Days of Our Lives viewers know that Kristen lured Sophia into killing Johnny for a chance to leave town-Kristen knew exactly how to provoke Sophia, who despises Johnny.
However, it was always about Kristen trying to pin Rachel’s downfall and her time in the psych ward on EJ as a form of punishment.
After Kristen believed Johnny was dead, she betrayed Sophia and struck her in the head with a rock.
The fake suicide note that implicated Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) for social media bullying was just another cruel act.
Kristen Has No Problems Harming Others’ Children
Clearly, Kristen has no qualms about harming other people’s children, as she had her henchman dispose of Sophia’s lifeless body in the murky water.
When Kristen learned that Johnny had survived, she was understandably furious. Now, she is pretending to care for Johnny’s wife, Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), who has cancer.
Kristen warned Johnny not to let Chanel’s health issues draw him back to EJ. When Johnny mentioned that EJ has been supportive, Kristen decided to change her approach and focus on manipulating EJ’s other children.
Sydney Is Sami’s Youngest Daughter
Sydney DiMera is the daughter of Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney); Kristen’s call to Sydney was unexpected.
EJ and his daughter have faced constant drama since the start-in 2009, Sami hid her pregnancy from EJ after a one-night stand.
Later, Sami witnessed a murder and entered witness protection, where she fell for FBI agent Rafe; at the same time, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) was pregnant with EJ’s child but miscarried.
She then switched Sami’s baby with another woman’s; Nicole took Sydney because she wanted EJ’s child.
So, for a while, Sydney was raised by Nicole-after Rafe discovered the baby switch, Nicole fled with Sydney.
EJ’S Twisted Revenge Against Sami
EJ and Anna DiMera (Leanne Hunley) orchestrated a fake kidnapping, complete with bloody clothes and a staged rescue to appear heroic-EJ did this to take revenge on Sami.
During her childhood, Sydney lived with Sami and occasionally with EJ due to custody disputes and their on-and-off relationship.
Later, Sydney’s father, EJ, was killed but was brought back to life with the help of Kristen and Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).
EJ was found in Kristen’s warehouse in Nashville, where they stored all of Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) experiments, with Xander managing everything.
Sydney DiMera, Poor Little Rich Girl
Poor Sydney truly embodies the classic trope of a poor little rich girl. She has faced numerous challenges, and fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of a recast teen Sydney DiMera in the near future.
In the latest episodes, we’ve seen EJ engaging in phone conversations with Sydney, discussing her return to Salem once her school term in Italy concludes.
The last time we saw Sydney in Salem was during the 2021 Peacock series, Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas.
During that appearance, Sydney was portrayed by a different actress, the talented young tween Evelyn Stevenson, who brought a fresh perspective to the character as she was aged up slightly.
Sydney Has Been Living In Europe With Sami Offscreen
Since 2014, Sami has had Sydney living in Europe with her, and they have mostly been offscreen except for that holiday special.
However, this might change soon; perhaps Kristen, Sydney’s terrible aunt, is calling her niece behind EJ’s back to discourage her from visiting Salem.
As far as we know, Sydney and Kristen haven’t been close-it’s likely that Sami wouldn’t want them to bond and wouldn’t appreciate Kristen reaching out to Sydney unexpectedly.
Kristen definitely seems to have some sinister plans; she might be targeting Sydney to get back at EJ.
The Sibling Feud Has Intensified
The ongoing conflict between Kristen and EJ has intensified due to incidents like the DiMera kidnapping and its consequences.
Additionally, Rachel’s transformation from a spoiled child to a troubled pre-teen and Kristen’s attempt on Johnny’s life have fueled the feud.
EJ is set to discover Kristen’s actions very soon, likely by the end of this week or early next week, when he learns that Kristen used Sophia in her plot against Johnny.
Sophia nearly succeeded, and if she had used the gun Kristen provided, Johnny could have been killed, leaving EJ in mourning.
Once EJ Gets Onto Kristen, He’ll Pose A Threat-Make That A Promise!
Once EJ uncovers Kristen’s actions, he is poised to issue a threat to her-however, it seems more accurate to describe it as a promise!
At this point, it appears that EJ has her firmly in his grasp, but the situation could be even more dire.
Remember, just this week, he warned Kristen that she might soon find herself in need of Dr. Rolf’s resurrection serum.
If Kristen realizes that her time is running out, we could witness her intensifying her schemes to sabotage EJ’s relationships with both Johnny and Sydney, all before EJ has the chance to confront her.
Kristen Is Going To Be Toast!
It’s clear that EJ is going to completely lose his composure when he discovers that Kristen has been in touch with Sydney, especially considering her recent actions involving Johnny.
It’s only natural for EJ to jump to the worst conclusions, fearing that Kristen might have even attempted to harm Sydney as well.
Let’s face the facts here; Kristen has shown time and again that she has no qualms about involving children in her schemes.
That’s including her own daughter, Rachel, whom she has manipulated as a pawn in her ongoing battles with Brady for years. Once EJ uncovers this shocking information, Kristen will find herself in a world of trouble.
