In a recent interview with TV Insider, Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford, the co-head writers of Days, shared insights about the upcoming changes in casting.

They mentioned, “The new Rachel will start airing in March, and we can look forward to seeing Conner Floyd, known for his role as Chance Chancellor on The Young and the Restless, stepping into the shoes of Chad in April.

Additionally, a new actress will be taking over the role of Ari, previously portrayed by Marissa Reyes, also in April-so stay tuned for that!”

As for the character of Rachel Black, who will be replacing Alice Halsey in that role remains a mystery for now, but we promise to keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Alice left to portray the iconic Laura Ingalls Wilder in a new version of “Little House on The Prairie”.

Connor Floyd Takes Over As Chad DiMera

Regarding Connor Floyd’s much-anticipated debut, fans are likely to experience a whirlwind of emotions. It will undoubtedly be bittersweet to witness Billy Flynn, who currently portrays Cane Ashby on Y&R, take his final bow as Chad.

However, the excitement of seeing Floyd’s fresh interpretation of the character adds a thrilling twist to the situation. While there hasn’t been an official confirmation about who will step into the role of Ari, all indications suggest that Sydney Malakeh is the frontrunner.

Malakeh has been following several cast members from Days on Instagram and was recently seen at the cast’s holiday gathering, which strongly hints at her taking over the role of Ari.

Javi Hernandez Is Also Being Recast

Although the recasting of Javi Hernandez, played by Al Calderon, wasn’t addressed during the co-head writer’s interview, it’s a perfect moment to remind Days fans that this change is indeed on the horizon.

Similar to Malakeh, Jacob Martinez is also an avid follower of several DOOL actors on his Instagram account, and he was spotted in pictures from the Christmas party.

Al Calderon is expected to appear in episodes until May, but it seems that Martinez is set to make his debut as a recast for the character Javi sometime after that.

Naturally, there may be additional recasts in the pipeline, depending on the storylines the writers plan to explore and the characters that are required on the canvas.
