CNN Anchor Arrested
On Friday January 30th, Don Lemon put on his best tuxedo and headed out on the town for a 2026 Grammy red carpet event.
Imagine his surprise when Federal agents arrived and informed him he was under arrest, for something that happened TWO weeks ago.
Was it really that hard for them to lay eyes on a news anchor, why did they wait until he was attending a Grammy party?
The event in question occurred in Minnesota on January 18, 2026. Lemon was on hand at a church for an anti-ICE protest, and the journalist was going live and sharing interviews and updates from the location.
Don Lemon’s Lawyer Shares Update
Technically Don Lemon is an independent journalist now and hosts his own news show on YouTube. The well-known news anchor left his position on CNN after 16 years of being on the air.
The 59 year old insists his trip to the church was harmless, and he was simply reporting on a protest like he had done dozens of time in the past.
Per a report from People Magazine, “Prosecutors have accused Lemon of violating a federal law that protects the right of people to participate in services at houses of worship, though Lemon has said he entered the church solely in his role as a journalist covering the demonstration.”
