‘B&B’ Spoilers Thursday, January 8: Carter’s Proposal Yields A Surprising Result

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for Thursday, January 8, 2026, tease Daphne not knowing what to make of Carter’s default move.

Daphne’s Leaving Again?

Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) is down on one knee again, a position he knows well, as few soap characters propose as often and with as much heart as Carter does.

This is a man who wants to get married in the worst way, but just can’t find a woman who wants to marry him.

Maybe it has something to do with how often Carter proposes. Just last spring, he was down on one knee asking Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) to marry him.

That was one day after he had kissed Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) in his apartment and led her on. Now, he is proposing to Daphne after learning she wants to head back to Paris.

Daphne looks at Carter like he has three heads and is forced to let him down easy. Marriage is a big deal, and Carter doesn’t seem to understand what a big deal it is, as he is ready to marry anyone at any time.

Will Carter finally come to understand he has a problem with women? Perhaps he also needs to see Taylor Hayes for some therapy.

Taylor’s Special Therapy

Speaking of Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig), she gets to hear it from her daughter when Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) walks in on Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and Taylor in a compromising position.

Steffy is floored that her mother seems to have developed feelings for Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) husband.

Steffy is confused enough that Taylor would get this close to a patient, especially Deacon. But Deacon is married to Sheila, which makes it even worse.

Sheila is crazy and Steffy knows it, so she fears for Taylor and what Sheila might do to her if she learns the truth.

Meanwhile, Deacon makes a confession to Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone). Will he tell his son all about his feelings for Taylor? Deke has wanted Deacon to dump Sheila, but that can lead them all into dangerous territory.
