Carter’s mind shifted into high gear after Steffy told him that she was pregnant with his child. He wasn’t about to let her tell Finn the truth and created a plan to cover what happened.

Viewers realized why Daphne Walton’s (Murielle Hilaire) inability to conceive was created the moment that Carter and Steffy woke up beside each other on the couch in FC’s main office.

Saint-Victor’s character manipulated Steffy and his wife into being part of the egg donor and surrogacy ruse. However, his repeated flashbacks to the infamous night in question match the mother of his first child, which confirms that the weight of his conscience is increasing by the day.
