Susan Lucci’s “Outcome”
Apple TV recently released its trailer for the dark comedy, “Outcome,” starring Reeves, along with Lucci, David Spade, Cameron Diaz, Martin Scorsese, Jonah Hill, and others. The Apple original is slated to debut on Friday, April 10.
In the flick, Reeves plays lead, Reef Hawk, a celebrity who’s being extorted with a video that could destroy his career.
While his loved ones support him, Reef attempts to make amends with past enemies to try to turn the situation around, while also trying to find out who the unknown blackmailer is.
A New Chapter For Susan Lucci
A movie role where she plays Reeves’ mom is huge for Lucci and could mark a new chapter for the daytime drama diva.
Of course, fans remember Lucci for her days as soap vixen, Erica Kane on All My Children (AMC), a character she played from 1970 until 2011.
Despite AMC being cancelled over a decade ago, Eric Kane remains one of the most popular and well-known soap characters of all time.
In addition, Lucci was also known as the bridesmaid who was never the bride when it came to snagging a Daytime Emmy.
The actress was nominated 18 times in a row at one point, and lost, in the category of Lead Actress, until she finally scored the statue in 1999.
In addition to her daytime drama work, Lucci has appeared in a slew of primetime shows over the years, including Hope and Faith, Hot in Cleveland, Dallas, and That’s So Raven – just to name a few.
She even guest-hosted Saturday Night Live in 1990, which is a huge accomplishment for any celebrity!
Speaking of soaps and movies, Lucci recently hopped on Instagram to congratulate Michael B. Jordan on his recent Oscar win.
The actor played Reggie Montgomery on AMC from 2003 to 2006. Lucci posted an old photo of her and Jordan from their AMC days, with the following caption that provided a congratulatory message.
