Thankfully, she neutralized the goon with a bash to his head while he was attacking Nick. Sharon also ran to the maze and found Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), who brought in Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
Together, the trio stabilized Nick and got him the medical attention he needed. Longtime fans who’ve wanted Nick and Sharon to reconcile were also thrilled when he offered Sharon a kiss. It appeared to project more than gratitude.
Cane Ashby’s Invitation Proves Disastrous
Nick went along with his parents to Cane’s chateau, as Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) termed it when calling the police for help.
Morrow’s character, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) were suspicious of the invite from the start but were curious to see what would develop.
In what proved to be three dramatic instances, Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers), Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), and Carter (no last name known for the character played by Vincent Stalba) were killed.
Carter’s murder of Damian and the unintended killing of Chance was followed by that disturbed side character voluntarily leaving this earth.
Cane’s enforcer gashed Nick when the two struggled in the hostage room. Flynn’s character seems primed to avoid legal punishment, with Carter conveniently shouldering the blame for all that happened. Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) direct involvement may help Chance escape justice as well.
Holding Couple Against Their Will
Cane ordered Nick held captive. He claimed to believe Nick was Damian’s murderer because of Carter’s planted evidence, the antique knife, under the bathroom sink.
But Amanda’s digitally prepared Chancellor transfer agreement implied that Cane intended to use Nick’s supposed guilty state as leverage.
The audience knows Cane had a discussion with Amanda to that effect because he believed the Newmans would cave to the pressure of the moment.
One would think that Cane would face kidnapping charges for having held Nick and Sharon in that dirty room. Expanding options, Cane could theoretically be charged with keeping all his so-called guests on the property against their will.
But all the drama played out in the south of France, rather than Genoa City, Wisconsin. So, it’s plausible to conclude that Chance won’t face any legal consequences.
Sharon Newman Realizes Progress
Sharon concluded that there was potential for her and Nick to explore another reunion many months ago. Nick balked at that suggestion, citing his repeated bad treatment of her.
Case’s character pointed out that they’d hurt each other through the years but always remained tied together. Sharon’s additional point may have been the strongest, as she cited their maturity and reality of present-day circumstances versus cherry-picking nostalgia.
Nick was impacted in the moment by Sharon having been there for him after he suffered a serious cut that drew a lot of blood.
Fans of this famous one-time couple are rightfully hopeful that Nick’s recognition will extend beyond the unexpected kiss when he, Sharon, Cane, and all of the guests are back in GC.
