General Hospital star Steve Burton, who plays Jason Morgan, often reflects on life and he sometimes posts motivational things on social media. This week, in a personal way, he encouraged his followers to focus on faith and living fully, instead of letting fear and worry take over. Read on for more.
Over thinking Is A Drawback
Burton began his Instagram post with a reminder about the dangers of overthinking, writing, “Worrying literally robs you of time.” Next, he opened up about questions people often ask themselves later in life, including why they didn’t take more risks, follow their dreams, or express themselves fully.
In his post, Steve asked, “Why did I care so much about what other people thought? Why didn’t I take more risks? Why didn’t I follow my dreams?” He also questioned why people sometimes stay too long in bad relationships, avoid self-care, or neglect the chance to love and forgive more.
His words definitely inspired many of his GH fans.as he compared the struggle between fear and faith. One follower wrote, “This has been the best message. I have heard all day. Thank you so much for keeping things positive and sending out a true message everyone needs to hear!! “
Additionally, the real-life Jason Morgan added, “Why did I let fear rule me and not faith? Both are something we can’t see, but have to believe. I choose FAITH.”
Turning To Scripture for Guidance
The ABC actor also draws strength from a favorite Bible verse in Proverbs. So he quoted it by writing, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
Toward the end of his message, Burton admitted that even small worries can snowball into overwhelming burdens. “Why did I sweat all the small stuff that turned into a mountain and buried me?” he asked. But, he ended his post on a hopeful note, reminding his fans that it’s never too late to reset:
Well… It’s never too late to change. One life don’t settle.
