The new CBS daytime drama podcast, Soapy premiered Season 1 in July. So far, it featured an impressive list of guests from across the genre. However, the season is ending soon. Check out the lineup for the remainder of the season.
The Series Ends This Month
September 30, 2025, sees the last of the interviews for Season 1, hosted by Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher) from The Young and the Restless and Leo Stark from Days of Our Lives. Of course, Rebecca Budig (Taylor Hamilton) from The Bold and the Beautiful also plays her part in the podcast.
Next up, on September 9, Karla Mosley (Dani Dupree) from Beyond the Gates will be hosted on Soapy, according to Michael Fairman TV. Of course, she’s also known for playing the roles of Maya Avant on The Bold and the Beautiful and Christina Boudreau on Guiding Light. So, fans can expect her to open up to Rebecca, as they share common ground.
The Next Appearances
September 16 sees Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer) from B&B, and that will be followed on the 23rd by “Melody Thomas Scott of Y&R “who…talks about her enduring Hollywood career and the story of her Genoa City alter-ego, Nikki Reed Newman.”
The finale episode for Season 1 will probably attract a lot of fans because it’s none other than Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain). Possibly the most hated actor because he’s so good at it, General Hospital fans might enjoy watching the episode.
However, while the polarizing character might talk about GH, don’t expect him to go too deeply into his current storyline of being shot. Apparently, he recorded the podcast before that played out on the September 2nd episode.
Common Background With Rebecca
Perhaps the chat will focus on Cameron and Rebecca’s time when they both appeared on All My Children. Remember, he and Rebecca (Greenlee Smyth) were lovers on the show for many years. You might recall that when the show ended in 2011, it looked like they split for a while, but they reunited and lived out their lives happily ever after.
The podcast doesn’t really offer too many spoilers, but daytime drama fans seem to enjoy it. As Greg Rikaart explained it to Good Day Sacramento a month ago, it’s more about behind-the-scenes stuff.
He said, that the podcast’s an opportunity for fans to “get to peek behind the curtains and share with our audience who already feel such a kinship toward us, towards the shows and the characters we play.”
