‘Sister Wives’ Fans Prefer Watching Kody Brown Over Robyn

The ongoing Tell-All episodes of Sister Wives Season 19 have turned the spotlight once again on Kody and Robyn Brown — and not in a flattering way.

As the dust from years of emotional fallout settles, it’s clear that many fans aren’t buying into the couple’s carefully constructed narratives. But while criticism has been loud, it hasn’t been unanimous — sparking a more nuanced, divided conversation online.

The Confrontation That Shifted the Energy

Kody’s behavior during the Tell-All has left many viewers frustrated. Rather than take ownership of the relational fractures that have plagued his polygamous family, he’s doubled down on defensiveness.

His refusal to engage with hard-hitting questions — especially those posed by host Sukanya Krishnan — became glaring in a recent episode. When asked to reflect on his own part in the disintegration of the family, Kody shut down. His response? Silence and deflection.

Suki didn’t let it slide. She called him out directly, saying he was acting like a “baby” for refusing to engage in accountability — a rare moment of candor that resonated with many longtime fans who have watched the emotional labor fall to the women in the family.

Who’s Really to Blame?

Social media has erupted into debate, but not everyone agrees on who deserves the most criticism.

A post on a fan forum posed a curious question: Would viewers be more interested in a spinoff featuring just Meri, Christine, and Janelle — or would they rather continue watching Kody try to patch things up with Robyn?

The thread quickly turned into a battleground of perspectives. Some users claimed they’d rather watch Robyn than Kody, suggesting that fan bias might have sexist undertones. That claim, though, didn’t go unchallenged.

“I don’t think it’s sexism,” one fan replied. “Robyn gives nothing and clearly wants nothing to do with the show or any of the kids that aren’t hers, but is still collecting a paycheck. Kody’s a villain but at least he contributes because he thinks he’s right and loves the spotlight.”

Others echoed similar sentiments, questioning Robyn’s engagement with the rest of the family. “Robyn is just a sad sack in a corner,” one viewer wrote. “Never has an opinion, says nothing & yet pulls all Kody’s strings so he’ll react. So tired of her frown.”

And in a more pointed response to the sexism claim, another user added: “Sexist?!?! No. lol What an odd take. Maybe the answer is the obvious one — Robyn brings no value to the show. Period. NONE.”

Still, not everyone sees Kody’s involvement as redemptive. “The most obvious explanation, to me, is that Kody is the father of the OG3’s children and part of this large family. They’d like to see Kody interacting with his family and ex-wives. Makes total sense. Robyn is nothing to anyone but Kody. Why do you think that’s sexist?”

Janelle: “It Takes Two”

One voice that’s trying to cut through the noise is Janelle Brown’s. Speaking candidly during the Tell-All, she shared a more balanced perspective: she doesn’t think Robyn is blameless — but neither is she the sole culprit.

“It takes two,” Janelle said, noting that while Robyn may not be innocent, Kody is the one drawing the most ire — perhaps intentionally. According to her, Kody seems to be leaning into a “villainous” persona in order to shield Robyn from the harshest judgments.

That, she says, only reinforces how much care and protection he still offers Robyn — something she and the other wives haven’t felt in years.

What’s Next?

The final installment of the Sister Wives Tell-All airs June 8, 2025, on TLC — and if the first two parts are anything to go by, it’s likely to stir even deeper reactions.

Whether Kody and Robyn will confront the hard truths remains to be seen. But one thing’s for sure: fans will be watching — and talking.
