The day Prince Andrew finally gets to leave Windsor’s Royal Lodge has come, but Sarah Ferguson is struggling to adapt to these new circumstances like a fish out of water.
Sarah and Andrew may have been divorced for nearly 30 years, but they’re really the friendliest of exes, with Sarah taking up lodging at Royal Lodge.
But now that Andrew has been forced to move into the more modest Frogmore Cottage, Sarah’s afraid for her future. Is she going to become a roaming former Duchess?
Sarah Ferguson “Absolutely Bereft” After Prince Andrew Was Forced Out of Royal Lodge
Prior to Prince Andrew leaving the 30-room Royal Lodge for the 4-bedroom Frogmore Cottage, he and Sarah reportedly asked for two residences: Frogmore Cottage will go to Andrew and Adelaide Cottage will be made available to Sarah Ferguson.
If you can recall, Frogmore Cottage was Harry and Meghan’s former UK residence, whilst Adelaide Cottage was recently just occupied by Prince William and Princess Kate.
Of course this whole idea was shut down by Buckingham Palace, with a Palace source telling MailOnline, “It was an option put forward by the ‘other side’ and at an early stage [in negotiations.”
Whether this idea was ever on the table is unknown, but a source revealed that the idea for Sarah to move into Adelaide was brought up as more of a suggestion than a demand.
“But the suggestion that they have been demanding a new home each is misrepresentative of the truth. No demands have been made. People have been trying to come up with solutions.”
However, the fact that this arrangement didn’t end up coming to pass has reportedly left Sarah “absolutely bereft.”
According to a source who is familiar with her situation, Sarah is “completely on the edge” about where to go from here, especially since her Jeffrey Epstein scandals have chased away what little friends she had.
“The honest truth is that she has nowhere to go and no one to go with,” the source close to Ferguson continued. “Her future is hanging in the balance.”
