Sarah Ferguson has indeed lived a storied life as someone who is under the scrutiny of the media and the public eye. One time, she was pictured getting her toes sucked on by her so-called “financial advisor” John Bryan. But, that’s not the length and breadth of the story. Keep reading for more nuggets.
Sarah Ferguson Had Difficult Relationship With Prince Andrew For This Reason
Being the partner of a service man or woman can often come with a degree of loneliness that leaves very little room for love.
Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew may have enjoyed a fairytale wedding and the wellwishes of a nation, but their private life was anything but.
During his younger years, Andrew served in the Navy, and during that time, he tended to stay away from his family for long periods of time.
At the time, Sarah claimed that Andrew was absent for eight months of her first pregnancy, and she couldn’t join him where he was stationed due to Prince Philip forbidding her from doing so.
Apparently, Sarah soon grew too lonely she fell right into the arms of another man. She met American Steve Wyatt in the third year of her marriage with Andrew, and pregnant with Princess Eugenie.
Later on, claims would surface that Steve, and not Andrew, was the love of her life.
“Steve Wyatt was the main reason for the breakdown of her marriage,” David Leigh, co-author of ‘The Duchess of York’ uncensored, wrote.
A different memoir by Dr Allan Starkie detailed how Sarah enjoyed a Moroccan vacation with Wyatt, daughter Beatrice and two royal detectives, a month-and-a-half after giving birth to Eugenie.
By the time Wyatt, who Sarah was reportedly bankrolling, was to return to America, it was already concluded that she should divorce her husband. Of course, this was all happening after less than four years of marriage to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Starkie wrote: “Wyatt had little money and Sarah had been bankrolling him but, as he left for the airport, Sarah invited his friend and cousin by marriage, John Bryan, to lunch. Just the two of them.
“‘We had a couple of glasses of wine and were flirting madly, absolutely insanely,’ Bryan recalled later. ‘Just giggling, laughing, flirting.’ When she got back to the Palace she started calling Bryan from her bathtub. ‘You don’t call a man from the bathtub if you’re not ready to go to bed with him,’ boasted Bryan.”
Starkie continued: “Within days of Wyatt leaving for Texas, Sarah was in bed with Bryan in his Chelsea flat. ‘I couldn’t believe anyone could behave with such reckless abandon,’ was his flabbergasted response.”
Shortly after, Sarah’s affairs came to light, reportedly leading Prince Philip and Princess Margaret to reprimand her in a letter accusing her of bringing “shame” upon the family.
