Robert Irwin Shares A Sad Story Amid ‘DWTS’ Season 34

Robert Irwin is the fan favorite on Dancing with the Stars, but he’s been hiding a sad story while he and Witney Carson win over ABC fans. This week, he shared a worry that he’s been thinking about so far from his Australian home. Read on to find out what it’s all about.

Fears & Stress – A Sad Story 

Robert Irwin lost so much when his dad, Steve Irwin, passed away. However, he kept his dad’s legacy alive by following him into nature conservation. Probably, he wishes his father could be in the audience watching him try and win the mirrorball trophy. But there’s another soul in his life who makes him feel sad and concerned.

On Monday, Robert Irwin took to Instagram and shared a photo of his pup, Stella. The little dog is part of the family, and in his caption, he called her his “Bestie.” Unfortunately, Stella’s been unwell while Robert focuses on the ABC dance competition.

What’s Wrong With Stella?

In his post’s caption, the Dancing with the Stars contestant told his followers:

This is a tough one. I wanted to give an unfortunate update on my sweet little pup, Stella. A mass was discovered that ended up being cancerous. We still don’t know the full extent of the cancer. I have faith she’ll be in the clear. She is such an important part of our little fam, so it’s been stressful to say the least being away from home and away from her while she goes through this.

Robert said that he shared about his pup because he has a lot of fans who know Stella and love to see photos of her.

Will She Be Okay?

At the moment, the man from the Australian Zoo doesn’t know if his little bestie will be alright in the long-term. However, he did have some encouraging news. He added, “She is doing ok post-surgery so far, she’s …one tough cookie.”

Hopefully, each day he gets updates on Stella, and that the news will continue to improve. Of course, Bindi Irwin also loves the pup. In the comments she told her little brother, “She’s such a strong and beautiful little soul.”

Meanwhile, his mom, Terri wrote, “Every day is another day of healing. She is a determined little soul!”
