Robert Irwin and his dance partner, Witney Carson, are firm favorites on Dancing with the Stars, Season 34. The young man from Down Under blasts through his performances despite not having a dancing background. He’s sweet, good-looking, and enthusiastic, and The Chippendales want him. How did he respond?
The Chippendales Offer
It’s been nearly three weeks since ABC fans heard that an approach was made to Robert’s mom for him to appear in Las Vegas with the hunky Chippendales. Well, fans hoped like crazy that his mother, Terri Irwin, would say no. Nobody wanted their clean and green young conservation hero to be made into a sex symbol.
When the rumors spread, the son of the late Steve Irwin didn’t make any public announcement. However, a few days ago, he responded to the offer. And, it shouldn’t surprise Dancing with the Stars fans that he’s gotten more than just one offer.
How Did Robert Respond?
If you worry that Robert Irwin will take the road to fame as a sex symbol, worry no more. ET shared a video on Instagram and he looked very embarrassed. In fact, one fan noticed that his ears turned red. While Robert and Whitney talked with the interviewers, he revealed that he was also approached by a similar group in Australia, known as Thunder from Down Under.
Bindi Irwin’s younger brother said that he’s not up for it. He explained, “Mate, all power to them, but [it’s] not for me. Not right now.” The original offer came after Robert took off his shirt while dancing. So, he said that’s where it stops with getting his clothes off. “I’ll take the shirt off now and again, but I’m gonna draw the line there,” he said.
He also reminded viewers that he’s big into nature conservation, and being in Sin City or anywhere else doesn’t really go with his main interests in life.
Fans Respond
In the comments section, DWTS fans applauded the fact that Witney, Bindi, and Terri all seem protective of Robert. And, they love that he won’t go with the offers that some people might jump at. One follower wrote, “I love how Robert now has a second protective older sister in Witney! Their bond is so cute.”
