Earlier this year, a photo of an emotional Prince Harry at the Invictus Games in Vancouver, Canada, “shocked the world.” While many folks believed it came from the event’s emotional impact, royal commentator Neil Sean suggested a “darker side” to the display, revealing pent-up struggles behind the scenes. Harry, trained from an early age “not to show emotions in public,” reportedly “truly was struggling to keep it all together.” Read on to find out more.
Distress Unrelated To Invictus?
Sean, during his By Royal Appointment segment on his Daily Headlines News vlog, suggested Harry’s distress was not due to the Invictus Games itself. Rather, he opined, it was a “cruel reality” unraveling before him.
His issues included impending court cases, difficulties securing personal security, the challenge of “keeping the money coming in,” and what Sean referred to as the “mad cap schemes” of his “cable TV actress wife,” Meghan Markle. She has, once again, embarked on a “rebrand” with a new podcast and entrepreneurial endeavors, which Sean claimed would solely rely on Harry’s finances.
Comparing The Duke Of Windsor
Sean compared Harry and the Duke of Windsor, who also gave up royal life. However, Sean noted the Duke was “a little bit savvier” as he “didn’t cut all ties” with the British monarchy and continued to receive some financial support. Harry, Sean opined, “didn’t really think that through,” allegedly believing his wife’s belief that they would “become billionaires.”
She seemed to believe that they were “more popular than any other member of the British monarchy.” Harry, according to Sean, also failed to maintain open communication lines with his family, famously stating on television that “The king, my father, won’t take my phone calls.”
The Prince Is On The Edge
The royal commentator suggested Prince Harry’s public claims of being “trapped” within the monarchy were “scurrilous stuff.” He described Harry as a man “on the edge,” a look becoming “more and more frequent.”
Sean also touched on Meghan Markle’s new brand, American Riviera Orchard, calling it “hemorrhaging money” and a “disaster.” He argued it was “not making any money whatsoever,” and Harry was “too weak to point out that this is not the way forward.”
No Direction
Sean highlighted Harry’s current struggle to fill his days, now that court cases have concluded. While he is reportedly a “very good hands-on father,” his professional life lacks direction. Sean also touched upon Harry’s recent surprise trip to China, which Harry hoped would put him “back on the front pages.” However, he concluded that Harry’s efforts to gain media attention for his solo ventures had largely failed, with “no one” taking him seriously.
Sean claimed that Netflix’s financial input into their projects was “very minimal.” He also alleged that Meghan’s entrepreneurial ventures, like selling jam and wine, were being “rushed through” without proper planning or public engagement.
Neil Sean concluded that the Sussexes were “on completely different paths,” with Meghan “probably happier than ever” due to the fame she desired, while Harry’s ventures were “crumbling in front of their eyes.” Therefore, Sean believes Prince Harry is now facing the “reality” that his current path has simply isn’t unstainable.
Reactions In The Comments Section
The fact that many people agreed with the royal commentator in the comments, suggests that he is on the right track. One follower wrote, “H & M were NEVER more popular than the rest of The Royal Family.”
Meanwhile, another viewer, reflecting on his poor decision-making, said, “Thank God Harry was not born first.”
Here are a few more reactions from the comments:
- I dont have sympathy for harry bc he let this person disrespect QE11 and then wrote a book talking cr-p abt the entire family.
He was no child…was well past his 30s, such a simp. - I have no sympathy for Harry. He was warned by numerous members of his family. Even his uncle, Charles Spencer, warned him. He chose the destructive path he’s on. He can live with it.
What do you think? Is Harry getting emotional because he realized he can’t get rich without his family’s blessing?
