Commentators are dissecting what they describe as a deliberate and ongoing campaign by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to overshadow the Prince and Princess of Wales. Read on for more about the rather scathing discussion.
A ‘Toxic Pattern’
During a segment on Talk TV on Tuesday night, host Kevin O’Sullivan and royal commentator Kinsey Schofield analyzed a series of events they believe reveal a “toxic pattern” of behavior from the Sussex couple.

The central accusation is that any time senior royals, particularly William and Catherine, generate positive headlines, Harry and Meghan make a competing announcement. The most recent example cited was Prince William’s high-profile trip to Brazil for his Earthshot Prize.
The Canada Trip
“Suddenly in the middle of this Harry crops up,” O’Sullivan said, noting the Duke of Sussex revealed his own travel to Canada for a Remembrance service. Sources for Harry claimed the timing was limited about when they could announce the trip.
However, Schofield was dismissive. “The real audacity was that when they were challenged… they used the excuse that he didn’t have the same security as other working members of the British Royal Family.” So, in a way it seems as if Prince Harry pretends he’s doing royal duties, which he isn’t.
A Repeated Thing
The pattern, according to the commentators, is repeating. Schofield revealed that as news breaks of a potential William and Catherine tour of Australia, a celebrity psychic linked to Harry and Meghan Markle posted a letter suggesting Harry and Meghan will also visit Australia.
“So now Australia is losing their mind saying oh we have a Harry and Meghan trip to look forward to,” Schofield noted, calling the timing “convenient.” She connected this to the couple’s infamous 2018 tour, which she said sparked Meghan’s desire to “not have to be in William and Catherine’s shadow anymore.”
Commercial Ventures Clash
The analysis extended to Meghan’s commercial ventures. O’Sullivan referenced her upcoming Christmas Special, which was announced just days before Catherine’s annual carol concert. Schofield labeled this as consistent, “unhinged” behavior.
They also critiqued Meghan’s new lifestyle brand. In fact, Schofield called a promo video “beige,” “joyless,” and “colorless,” a stark contrast to Meghan’s past claims of being restricted by the monarchy.
Forcing Half-In Half-Out
Basically, the pair argued that Prince Harry and Meghan are trying to force a “half in half out” royal model, leveraging their family connections for global relevance and financial gain.
“They are worthless without their association to the British Royal family,” Schofield concluded, framing their actions as a series of calculated moves to command the spotlight they once voluntarily left.
Viewers React
In the comments section, a lot of Australians commented on the upcoming visits. Meanwhile, others expressed sentiment for the couple in general. One person wrote:
Meghan hates the Commonwealth and Australia and the feelings are mutual. They are not working royals so they will have to foot their own bill. I hope our government has the sense to tell them to p**s off. Aussies can speak for ourselves and don’t need anyone speaking for us.
Here are a few more responses from the discussion that followed:
- Harry and Meghan were welcomed in Australia the first time, but things have changed. Meghan thinking she’ll be welcomed back is as delusional as everything else she does.
- It’s becoming tedious now with these two overstepping the mark. The King needs to get a grip & deal with them once & for all!!
- Oh please how much more have they got to do before the titles go, come on Charles. William said all non working royals, no titles. As a British citizen this is really getting on my nerves.
