Welcome to Plathville star, Olivia Plath, went to Zimbabwe and volunteered to work with wildlife at a place called Antelope Park in the middle of the country. This week, she revealed that she has more plans for the Southern African country. Read on to find out what she wants to do.
Volunteering With Environmentalists
When the former wife of TLC’s Ethan Plath went to Zimbabwe, she revealed that she worked specifically with the lion project. If you don’t know, they are endangered due to traditional medicine poaching and conflict with humans.

From her videos and photos, Welcome to Plathville fans could see that she also worked with other. Plus, her experience took her to a place where she could see African wild dogs (extremely vulnerable), sable antelope (graceful and on the red data list), and more.
Planning A Return
Now that her time there has come to an end, the TLC star doesn’t plan on filing it as a “been there, done that” album. Instead, she wants to go back. But next time, she hopes that others will go with her.

Sharing a main Instagram photo of herself at Victoria Falls in the north of the country, and a video of a lion being rescued for treatment, she wrote in her caption:
ZIM, I’m leaving a bit of my heart here 🇿🇼 who wants to come back with me next year??

Naturally, Olivia Plath also thanked the organization that she partnered with for her volunteer mission. She wrote, “Thank you to @volunteerencounterorg for this breathtaking experience.”

Additionally, she loved what they do for the animals and the folks who call the country home. In fact, she ended by saying her whole working trip was “nothing short of life-changing.”
Will Others Join Her Next Year?
Well, there weren’t many takers to go with her next time. Perhaps, as volunteering isn’t free, it’s beyond the budget of many Welcome to Plathville followers. However, we can think of a few other TLC stars who might be interested in that sort of adventure. For one, Tania Maduro comes to mind.

Then, there’s Varya Malina, who waits for Jeffrey Paschel to get out of prison one day. She’s already into taking groups of her fans on travel expeditions. And no, apparently, the story that she was arrested seems to have been debunked. So, she should be able to get a visa for volunteering in Zimbabwe.
TLC Fans React
Those fans who either can’t or don’t want to go to a wildlife reserve still had lots to say. One of them wrote in the comments, “This truly makes me so happy to see you really living, living a life that has meaning to it, one that fills your soul.”
Here are a few more reactions:
- The fact that you had to fight a man over a nose piercing and now this is you, makes me so beyond happy.
- It’s beautiful watching you create these experiences for yourself and living your life on your terms out loud. Keep going.
- WOW! Look at you!! Living your absolute best life without reservation!
