Lindsay Arnold Reveals Why She Won’t Be In ‘DWTS’ S34

Lindsay Arnold, formerly a pro dancer on Dancing With the Stars (DWTS), left the ABC talent show in 2021 and this week, she took to social media to tell her fans why she won’t be in Season 34. Read on for all the details.

Leaving For Family Reasons

On TikTok, Lindsay reminded her followers of the reason why she left the show in the first place. She’s married to Samuel Lightner Cusick and raises their two daughters, Sage and June. The show took a lot of time and the pressure was high, so she opted to stay with her family in Utah instead of being a pro dancer.

She told her followers that lots of people keep on asking her about a return. However, nothing has changed in her personal life situation. For now, there’s a lot going on with her family and her kids. So, she’s not hankering to be back in front of the cameras.

The Producers Want her Back?

While she applied her makeup, Lindsay Arnold chatted easily to the camera and mentioned to her DWTS fans that nobody’s beating at her front door for a return. She said:

I am not being asked to come back. The producers are not reaching out to me.

Because of that, she’s not having to tell them, “No, I don’t want to do it.” Actually, they never contacted her about a return to DWTS since she originally left.

Happy Not Being On The Show

Lindsay reminded viewers that the show isn’t exactly easy to be on in the first place. Remember each year, the pro dancers don’t know if they will appear or not. So, even if she reached out, there’s no guarantee that they would use her.

Anyway, she seems content with her life right now. Lindsay said, “My reasons for [not doing the show] haven’t really changed. In fact, if anything, my reasons for not doing the show feel even more relevant than they did in the past.”

While she won’t be on Season 34, Lindsay intends to watch it, and she wants to see how her younger sister, Rylee Arnold, does. She’s currently a pro dancer on Dancing with the Stars.

ABC Fans React

In the comments section, one person suggested, “It would be cool if they did like a family pro season. Dani + Pasha, Arnold’s, Chmerkovsky’s, Jenna’s niece, Hough’s, etc.”

Meanwhile, others let Lindsay know they would also be cheering on Rylee. One enthusiastic fan wrote, “RYLEE GO WIN THAT MIRRORBALL THIS SEASON.”

Then another fan spoke for a lot of people by writing, “We miss you in the ballroom but love all the family videos.”
