Earlier this month, Congress sent Andrew a letter inviting him to participate in a round of questioning that will aim to unmask Epstein’s associates.
Keir Starmer Believes It’s Right For Former Prince Andrew To Give Testimony
Andrew is currently being beset by calls imploring him to crawl out of his hole to help US investigators in their bid to bring Epstein’s case to a close.
Whilst Keir Starmer did not go as far as to drop his name into the mix, he did tell journalists traveling with him to the Group 20 summit in Johannesburg that it’s “general principle” for people to give evidence to investigators.
“I don’t comment on his particular case,” Starmer said. “But as a general principle I’ve held for a very long time is that anybody who has got relevant information in relation to these kind of cases should give that evidence to those that need it.”
Reason US Congress Wants Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor To Give Evidence Revealed
As for the reason Andrew is a critical part of the case US investigators are building, Suhas Subramanyam, Democratic members of the oversight committee in the House of Representatives, revealed that it’s because of the extent of Andrew’s involvement in Epstein’s operations.
Subramanyam told The Guardian, “It seems like every time we find more evidence, Prince Andrew seems to be in the documents. And so I think if he is hoping that the story will just go away by ignoring us and being silent, he will be sorely disappointed as we continue to pursue this over the next year and beyond.”
However, Subramanyam believes the former Prince will continue to “hide” from investigators. “[Andrew] has been hiding from us, and I think he will continue to try to hide from people doing meaningful investigations of this matter.”
In addition to this, it is being speculated that networks are offering Sarah Ferguson all sorts of sweet deals for her to shed light on her ex-husband’s associations with the late convicted pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.
If this happens, Andrew may well find himself back in the same whirlpool his 2019 Newsnight interview created at the time.
