General Hospital spoilers claim Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will try to get Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen ) to reconsider marrying Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). I’ve got to admit I don’t think there is any chance this will work.
Right now, Willow is still so bitter about Nina having slept with Drew and kept it from her. Rational or not, she blames her mother for the decisions she made that ended up costing her custody of her kids.
Previews show Nina standing by Willow’s side and telling her she will leave the wedding with her, if only Willow would take the bait and run. It’s very unlikely that is going to happen though.
Something Isn’t Right
The fan base is starting to sense that Willow is far from happy. When Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) asked her if she was, her immediate “Of course!” was hard to swallow.
It didn’t seem genuine, and it’s got fans thinking Willow still has her own reasons for marrying Drew that have little to do with wedded bliss.
Still, if that were the case, why was she taken aback when he proposed? It’s likely that Nina will read the insecurity and concern all over her daughter’s face, but there’s nothing she’ll be able to do about it.
GH Spoilers Reveal Nina Has No Clout
Nina might genuinely be concerned about her daughter, but that won’t come through when she tries to pry her away from her own wedding day.
Nina already contributed to ruining this the first time around, so I’m honestly surprised to see her in the previews in attendance to the next. It would seem that underneath it all, Willow still values family and wants her mother there when she says I do.
That being said, her mom’s efforts to get her to be a runaway bride could be met with contention if Nina doesn’t play her cards right.
Trust is a Must
Nina’s mother’s intuition might be screaming that something is wrong, but she’ll remain powerless in figuring it out or stopping whatever Willow is up to. The fact of the matter is Willow doesn’t trust anyone — not even her own family. Can we blame her?
Sure, she’s made her fair share of mistakes, too, but she hasn’t been terribly forgiving of those who’ve wronged her. She’s bent on seeing to it that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) goes down for trying to frame her — a man she once loved with all her heart.
She’s bitter toward her mom for not having told her the truth about her affair with Drew, but she’s not holding Drew to the same standard.
Something definitely is off, and Willow clearly has a plan in place to do something about it, but it’s clear she’s not going to tell anyone in advance what that is.
