Could Martin now possess evidence that could influence the destinies of Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson)?
Tracy Demanded The Return Of The Family Heirlooms
In the December 16 episode of GH, Tracy demanded the return of the family heirlooms and instructed Martin to persuade Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
She threatened that if her demands were not met, she would ensure Martin ended up in prison due to the will fraud scandal. Martin reached out to Drew, cautioning him that they needed to avoid Tracy creating a public spectacle during the trial.
Nevertheless, Drew remained firm and suggested that he required Martin to assist him with something while at the Quartermaine estate.
Although the show did not disclose what Drew requested from Martin, it appeared to be a setup for the ensuing spy games.
Someone Was Eavesdropping On Tracy And Michael
Someone was eavesdropping on Tracy’s conversation with Michael, which resulted in her confirming that she saw Michael outside Drew’s house just before discovering Drew injured inside.
Given that Martin was loitering around the property to assist Drew, it might eventually come to light that he was the one who hit the eavesdropping jackpot.
If Martin was indeed the one listening in, did he record their conversation? Since he was close enough to hear everything, his phone could have captured all that damning information too.
Martin literally had his phone in his hand, making it easy for him to press a few buttons and start recording.
It Makes Sense For Martin To Do This
It would be logical for Martin to do this the moment he realized he was about to uncover something scandalous!
Without any evidence of what Martin might have overheard, one could argue that he’s fabricating stories to create trouble for Tracy and support Drew’s narrative. Martin needs solid proof, and he might have it if there’s a recording on his cell phone.
Naturally, there are several ways Martin could leverage this recording to his benefit. It’s conceivable that Martin could use it to blackmail Tracy and Michael, especially since he needs a way to avoid facing fraud charges.
Martin Might Give Tracy A Serious Warning
Martin may caution Tracy that if she doesn’t back off, he’ll take her down along with Michael. If Martin holds off until Tracy and Michael have committed perjury on the stand, his evidence will carry even greater weight.
Conversely, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) suggested that Martin might get inventive to persuade Drew to return those heirlooms. Martin could exchange the recorded evidence to secure Drew’s cooperation, but there would still be inherent risks.
Even if Martin attempts to maintain a clean image, Tracy is astute enough to recognize that Martin was recently on the property and is likely the source of this leak.
Tracy Could Still Pursue Martin For The Will Fraud
This implies that Tracy could still pursue Martin for the will fraud if everything unravels.
Nevertheless, Martin appears to genuinely care for Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) and may now suspect that Michael is indeed guilty.
It remains a possibility that Martin could ultimately hand over the potential recording to Drew, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), or even the authorities.
In any case, General Hospital spoilers indicate that this eavesdropper revelation will create issues for Tracy and Michael. So keep an eye out for updates on the troubling news ahead.
