She said she was back in her hotel room at the Metro Court and had a friend there taking good care of her.
Sure, it’s a little odd that she didn’t specify who, given that Curtis clearly knows who all of her friends are.
Still, I have a nagging suspicion he’s going to find some reason to drum up concern and head straight to the hotel — only to find no one is there. What comes next could be catastrophic for Portia if she’s not careful.
Although it looks like she is headed for troubled waters this week, with previews showing Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is going to put her on the stand during Willow Tait Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) trial and likely question her on her whereabouts the night Drew was shot, Curtis might already be suspicious of her by that point.
Paging Dr. Gannon
Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) has been nothing but a doting caregiver and friend to Portia, if you want to reduce him to just a pal. Their relationship is continuing to evolve, but they’re hardly what most people would call a couple.
Maybe that’s why it still feels so new between them. They’re still getting to know each other, whereas Portia and Curtis have such a rich history — even if the bulk of it was lies and betrayal.
Portia might finally be ready for something new, but that doesn’t mean Curtis will appreciate being yet another pawn in her plan.

We can see from the look on Portia’s face as Alexis is questioning her that she is in pain. She doesn’t want the truth about her whereabouts on the night Drew was shot to be aired in the public square — and on a very public record.
We can also tell from the way she’s been trying to keep the truth under wraps that she didn’t want to lay this paternity issue at anyone else’s feet unnecessarily.
Remember she never intended to tell Curtis or Isaiah she was pregnant. Life had other plans though, and she didn’t consider telling the truth to Curtis as that happened.
Stacking the Deck
It is looking more and more like this baby will end up being Isaiah’s, if I’m being honest. His outpouring of interest in becoming a dad signaled that Portia has some real soul searching to do, and some significant hurdles ahead.
It was one thing when only Curtis knew she was pregnant and was elated over. Having both men equally as thrilled means someone is certain to end up devastated.
If the baby turns out to be Curtis’ though, Isaiah might be upset but he can drift back into the background without making many waves.
