General Hospital spoilers and updates for Tuesday, July 8 tease defensive postures, playing catchup and a freaked out mama!
Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase (Amanda Setton) takes a defensive posture, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) play catchup, and Sasha Corbin’s (Sofia Mattsson) a freaked out mama!
Cody Furthers His Plan
Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) furthers his plan to seduce Ava Jerome (Maura West) away from Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) as he flirts with a very receptive Ava. (Make sure to check out our next week GH spoilers, here!)
She turns around and smiles at him as he tells her he’s all hers! It looks like once again he’s helping her with something, although it doesn’t appear to be at her art gallery like it was the last time-they’re somewhere else.
Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) is paying Cody some big bucks to carry out this flirtation scam, and he really needs the money.
But will it interfere with his budding relationship with Kristina’s sister Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos)?
Defensive Postures
In the meantime, Brook Lynn, who Cody had earlier had a little disagreement with is now facing a livid Lulu Spencer, (Alexa Havins) who just slugged her!
Brook Lynn takes a defensive posture as she claps back at Lulu, saying “Interesting double standard, you hypocrite!”
Brook Lynn had inadvertently left her file on Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) on her desk and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) found and looked at it.
As a result, Rocco blindsided Lulu and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) with a multitude of questions about his origins.
It seems like an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, since Lulu never meant Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) to hear her conversation about his origins either!
Alexis Davis Is Impressed
In the meantime, Kristina is with her mother, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) as Kristina admits concerning something, “This time I finally went too far!”
To Alexis, to hear Kristina admit something like this is a huge leap of progress compared to her usual impulsive actions, which are nearly almost always detrimental.
Is she talking about her plot with Cody, or possibly something else related to her revenge plot against Ava?
Kristina is fortunate to be alive, and could have suffered the same fate or worse than Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) had Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) not saved her life. Perhaps her very much too close call has become a wakeup call for Kristina.

Playing Catchup
Portia and Elizabeth are playing catchup and talking about recent events as suddenly they hear a familiar voice and Portia turns around as Elizabeth looks skeptical.
It’s Ric, who says “I thought the evening couldn’t get any better” obviously referring to the sight of Elizabeth!
It looks like Cody really shouldn’t have had to bother trying to seduce Ava away from Ric, Ric’s aiming for Elizabeth now that Lucky Spencer’ (Jonathan Jackson) left town again.
But Elizabeth is likely as cautious where he’s concerned as she was about Lucky, and if she’s not, she surely should be!

Fate Sealed
In the meantime, Marco is talking to his father, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Jenz tells Marco, “In so doing, she sealed her fate”.
It sounds like he may be talking about Marco’s mother, Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) whose autopsy results came back and cleared Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) of suspected murder.
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) had suspected Jenz of murdering his ex-wife but then the autopsy results came back and they didn’t support a murder.
She could have sealed her fate by getting drunk and mixing alcohol with tranquilizers but it didn’t seem intentional. If it was, why did she not take all the pills at the same time with the liquor?

Rocco’s Got Hard Questions For Jason
Rocco apparently wasn’t satisfied with Lulu and Dante’s explanation or what he previously learned about Britt from Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner).
So now he’s sought out Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) who seems surprised when he demands he tells him everything he knows about Britt Westbourne.
Jason surely wonders what brought this up and he knows different things about Britt than what Dante, Emma, or Lulu do.
Jason knows more about the more redeemed Britt who he went with on the run in Canada. Rocco should have an eye opening experience if Jason tells him the truth he knows.

Freaked Out Mama!
In the meantime, back at the Quartermaine mansion Sasha is freaking out to Michael after finding Daisy Gilmore’s (Levi Clark Coughlin) crib empty.
Sasha had just decided she had “mom nerves” when she was going to keep her in a bassinette downstairs instead of upstairs in the nursery.
Sasha’s in a panic when she tells a worried Michael “someone took my daughter!” Of course, Daisy is his daughter too, and he will be concerned-but has Daisy been kidnapped, or does another Quartermaine family member have her?
They’d all been out on the deck watching fireworks when Sasha’s baby monitor revealed Daisy crying, but by the time she got up there, Daisy was gone!
