Elsewhere, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) gets new marching orders from Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) is shocked!
One More Day Of Encore Episodes, New Episode Friday, January 2
Bear in mind there will be one more day of encore episodes and the new episode described here actually airs on Friday, January 2.
On Thursday, January 1st there is a special tribute episode honoring the late Anthony Geary, who played the iconic Luke Spencer. This will be a rebroadcast of his last episode as Luke from July 27, 2015.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) finds Luke down at the pier, waiting for a boat to leave Port Charles for a new start-Lulu Spencer (now Alexa Havins-Bruening) also showed up and said her goodbyes.
Other than that, there was one short cameo later where he did not speak, but Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) ran into him in a café in Amsterdam, where Geary had moved in real life.
Dante Confers With ADA Turner
As Friday’s new episode begins, Willow’s trial is set to resume, and ahead of court reconvening, Dante confers with ADA Turner.
Turner seems quite sure of herself as she tells Dante that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has dug her own grave, and Willow’s along with it!
As for Alexis, she intends to try a new strategy to get Willow exonerated, with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) putting pressure on her to do so!
Might she be introducing into evidence the anonymous note sent to her via courier that said Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) was seen at Drew’s house the night he was shot? The note also said Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) saw him!
Jordan And Curtis Discuss Jordan’s Job
Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) appear to be discussing her job working for Sidwell. She tells Curtis she’s going to enjoy it, right up to the moment that I take him down!
Jordan has been working off-the-books undercover after stepping down as Deputy Mayor, using her many years of experience as a DEA agent.
In the process of working with Sidwell, she’s also discovered other things that could certainly be useful-certainly she knows Drew Cain’s in cahoots, as well as Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove)!
So far though, Sidwell’s kept her from finding out his involvement in Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) last project.

Laura Gets New Marching Orders
In the meantime, Laura is livid as she asks someone, “What does Sidwell want now?” She appears to be answering the door at the mayor’s office, and considering Boyle is Sidwell’s “messenger” to her and Sonny it’s probably him.
Sidwell has Sonny and Laura under his thumb, thanks to his frame job of putting the late Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) in the truth of her car.
Everything from Laura’s flat tire to having someone conveniently photographing her when she opened her trunk, and Sonny coming to assist, is a frameup!
Sidwell And Marco Have Lunch
It’s interesting but also suspicious, as Sidwell and his son Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) would choose to have lunch at Bobbie’s.
There are connections to Bobbie’s for Sidwell and Marco; it was Marco’s boyfriend’s Lucas Jones’ (Van Hansis) mother’s restaurant and now his sister Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) for one.
Also, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) occasionally pulls a shift there, as well as Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) living in a room upstairs.
Sidwell talks about a certain female someone to Marco, saying “never let her forget what she stands to lose,” sounding like he’s involving Marco in the situation.
Chances are, he’s referring to Britt, who he’s warned very recently that he could take her experimental medicine for Huntington’s Disease away at any time.

Kristina Is Shocked!
Elsewhere, Kristina is shocked, as she confronts someone about framing Michael-she’s upset as she demands, “Are you framing my brother for something he didn’t do?”
She’s standing in front of wooden shutter type blinds that fold in the middle to open and close, like at her mother’s house. Could Alexis’ new strategy for exonerating Willow really be that anonymous note delivered by courier, and Kristina is vehemently objecting?
Or might Kristina be accusing someone else, suspended Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) for instance, thinking he may have written that note, although it was probably Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight)?
