As for the miracles, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) won the mayoral election, and Measure C didn’t pass, meaning Sonny keeps his piers.
Laura Recoiled In Horror At The Contents Of Her Trunk
Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is always one step ahead, even when he seems to be lagging behind. Currently, everything appears to be going smoothly on election night, but the situation soon takes a sinister turn.
By the conclusion of the November 20th episode, Laura finds the lifeless body of Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) in her car’s trunk.
What she initially believed to be a simple car issue spirals into a terrifying ordeal.
Unfortunately, you can’t just switch off this episode or shut your eyes until it concludes-for Mayor Laura and Sonny, this marks the onset of a disastrous, life-altering event.
Two Birds, One Stone, Sidwell Wins Either Way
It seems that Laura’s horrifying discovery will lead her and her friend Sonny down a tragic road.
Although Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) may have lost the election and Measure C might not have succeeded, Sidwell emerges as the winner; Sidwell has framed Laura and Sonny for the murder of Dalton.
He manipulated their friendship and family ties to create the illusion that Laura had Sonny handle Professor Dalton in a mob-like manner. What could be a more perfect crime than two grandparents conspiring to eliminate the man who incarcerated their grandson?
An even more flawless crime would be the setup itself-whoever orchestrated the grandparents’ downfall truly executed the perfect crime.
The Two Birds Are Laura And Sonny, And Dalton’s The Stone
Sidwell orchestrated a scheme to frame Laura and Sonny for the murder of Professor Dalton. The reason this plan is effective lies in the fact that Laura and Sonny are candid about their lifelong friendship and their familial ties.
They are, in fact, the grandparents of Rocco Falconeri ( Finn Carr); Sonny, as it turns out, is involved in organized crime, while Laura has previously made public threats against Dalton.
This situation creates the appearance that Laura sought Sonny’s assistance to deal with the troublesome Professor, all in an effort to safeguard their grandson, Ezra stepping up as mayor.
Additionally, a crucial aspect of Sidwell’s strategy involves targeting Sonny’s associates; who else would be approached if Sonny were to be incarcerated for the murder of Dalton?
