GH Spoilers: The Resurrection Of Cesar Faison – What It Means For The Future Of Port Charles!

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease there’s talk about Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and the chance of his return. Today, we examine what a terrifying figure he is and why Port Charles should be very afraid if he comes back.

Cesar Faison, The Ultimate Villain

 We will explore the ultimate villain, the one that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) fears is resurrected, Cesar Faison.

Before her kidnapping, Anna started to think Faison might still be alive, despite being killed seven years ago by his son, Peter August (Wes Ramsey), aka Heinrich Faison. Anna mentioned that if anyone could fake their death for this long, it would be Faison.

She also noted that there have been resurrections linked to him, as three of Faison’s children were thought to be dead, but two have now returned: Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

This raises the possibility that Peter August, the worst of Faison’s children, could also come back;  expect either his return or that we discover he’s in Nathan’s mind due to implanted memories.

Faison Could Definitely Be Back

It’s possible Faison is back, even for a short time I want to remind you why Anna is worried he might not be dead. And what that means for Port Charles if Cesar Faison is alive and the brain in the jar on Kevin Collins’ (Jon Lindstrom) desk belongs to someone else.

Faison first appeared on General Hospital 35 years ago in 1990; his origin story was strange but deep-Anna and Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) had a nanny who was Faison’s mother.

So, there’s a rich backstory. When he appeared, he was working for the crime group DVX and eventually took over as its leader.

Anna Was A Double Agent Years Ago

Anna became a double agent long ago-it looked like she was betraying the WSB by working for DVX, but she aimed to infiltrate and dismantle it from within. Then Faison noticed her and became obsessed with Anna, a fixation that lasted until his death. Meanwhile, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) was deeply in love with Faison and resented his obsession with Anna.

Now that Faison is gone, Anna and Liesl have a sort of truce, despite years of animosity-Faison was the problem, and with him out of the way, Liesl broke free from his influence. However, back when she loved Faison, Liesl helped him fake Robin Scorpio’s (Kimberly McCullough) death, which tormented Anna.

Faison Kidnapped Anna Many Times Over The Years

Over the years, Faison kidnapped Anna many times; he once wore a mask to look like Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan), Anna’s true love. This disguise allowed him to get close to her-Anna was horrified to learn she had been with Faison, not Duke.

Faison didn’t act alone; he often teamed up with other villains. He collaborated with Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roche) when poisoning Port Charles’s water. Faison also worked with Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) on mind control and memory experiments.

Faison And Helena Were Involved In Many Crimes That Have Repercussions To This Day

They made Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) believe he was his twin, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton); Faison was skilled at impersonating others and committing crimes. There was a lot of mask work back then, with other actors stepping in due to the masks.

Besides using the Duke mask to date Anna, Faison wore it when he shot Jason and pushed him into the harbor, hoping he would die.

But Jason returned, after several years. Faison also attempted to kill Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) while wearing a Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) mask.

Faison Is One Of The Most Dangerous Villains In The History Of The ABC Soap

Faison is dangerous-he has brainwashed, kidnapped, murdered, and tormented many on General Hospital. He’s cheated death numerous times; one time, Helena Cassadine blew up a boat he was on, but he survived like a cockroach-you can’t kill him.

Faison is also a terrible parent. He made Britt a villain because she tried to impress him by doing bad things. We later learned Nathan was his son, but Liesl had Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills)  raise him to keep him away from Faison, which is why he turned out good.

Peter Was Another Toxic Faison Child

Peter is another toxic child of Faison-he is the son of Faison and Anna’s evil twin, Alex Marick (Finola Hughes). She hid him away, and he was adopted by others, but with Valentin Cassadine’s help, Faison got Peter and treated him poorly.

Faison made it clear to Britt and Peter they were never good enough-eventually, he sent Peter to boarding school.

Valentin then looked out for him and became a better father figure, feeling guilty for giving Peter to Faison. In the end, Peter became almost as bad as his dad, despite not wanting to be, and he was very jealous of Nathan, the good son.

Is Faison Back?

Let’s hope it’s either Faison or Peter in this plot-having both would mean too many villains. It’d be scary if Faison and his son returned; remember, Peter killed Faison in 2018 out of jealousy.

He shot him while Faison was in the hospital. With Nathan and Britt back, Faison’s return seems likely-Anna is currently held captive below Wyndemere and suspects Faison is involved.

The idea of him working with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is frightening, but typical of him since he likes partners in crime and Sidwell is evil.

Britt Is Working On Her Dad’s Last Project

Also, Britt is working on experiments tied to her dad Faison’s last research, with Sidwell funding it and Pascal (Marc Forget)  enforcing it.

Anna’s unclear abduction raises suspicions that Faison is behind it. Faison enjoys hiding in the catacombs and secret passages of Spoon Island and Wyndemere.

He’s done it before, which explains why Sidwell bought the property. Soon, we’ll discover who the mastermind is, the uber boss Sidwell serves. It could very well be Faison, and everyone should be scared.
