Why Jenz And Marco Are Likely Cassadines
Here’s why we believe Sidwell and Marco are connected to the Cassadines; Wyndemere on Spoon Island nearly turned into an abandoned castle.
With Spencer Cassadine (most recently Nicholas Alexander Chavez) thought to be dead and Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) in prison, Ava Jerome (Maura West) decided to sell the estate and move on. Interestingly, Ava found out that she sold Wyndemere to Jenz.
Are we really expected to think it was just a coincidence that Sidwell happened to stroll into Ava’s art gallery?
Did he really just go out looking for home decor ideas, randomly enter a gallery, and find out that the owner is the same person who sold him Wyndemere in a private deal?
Not Likely That Much Of A Coincidence
This is too coincidental to ignore; while fate and signs may exist, I believe these events were not random. Additionally, Sidwell’s son arrived in Port Charles looking for a position at the Miller & Davis Law Firm.
At first, it seemed Marco was drawn to the firm because of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), but they soon positioned him as a potential romantic interest for Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).
Before long, rumors started to spread that his real intention was to get closer to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn)- and his father also approached her.
The reason Marco wants to connect with Alexis is linked to why his father Sidwell bought Wyndemere; both Sidwell and Marco are part of the Cassadine family!
Valentin Doesn’t Know Him, At Least As A Cassadine Relative
These individuals appear to be distant relatives of the Cassadine family. If Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was aware of them, he hasn’t mentioned it, though he might recognize Sidwell from his time as a mercenary.
The older generation has all passed away, and Valentin found no mention of the newer members in the books he discovered in Wyndemere after Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) death.
Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue), Sidwell’s ex-wife, might offer a hint about his connection to the Cassadines, although this link is somewhat weak.
Natalia claims to have grown up in Puerto Rico, where Sonny owns an island, but she could have actually lived in Brazil, where a distant Cassadine cousin lived.
Could Sidwell Be Dimitri Cassadine’s Son, And Marco His Grandson?
Years ago, a financially struggling Cassadine relative named Dimitri Cassadine (Michael Carvin) arrived in Port Charles and began a relationship with a woman named Pilar (mentioned character).
He formed a business connection with Sean Donely (John Reilly) and the Quartermaine family. Dimitri lingered long enough to create turmoil for the Quartermaines before he mysteriously disappeared.
Could Sidwell be Dimitri’s son, given that Dimitri would now be at least as old as Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot); although Tracy might recognize Dimitri, he has been missing for many years.
And, we are still uncertain about how Sidwell came into possession of Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) dagger, which was used to murder Alexis’ mother-she had thrown it into the river!
