‘GH’ Spoilers: The Dark Secrets Linking Rocco And Britt Revealed!

General Hospital spoilers and updates hint at Rocco Falconeri (Finn Frances Carr)’s complicated past and his connection to the woman he refers to as his “other Mother,” Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

This Is Why Lulu And Dante Hate Britt

We will explain why Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) has a strong dislike for Britt, and the same goes for Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).

This background also sheds light on the current situation with Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braeden Bruner) about to attack Britt and the mutual hatred between them.

It all began in 2012. Lulu and Dante were married and eager to start a family, but after some attempts, Lulu was found to have a uterine problem.

The key point is that she could not carry a pregnancy to term. Dante and Lulu planned to adopt, but Lulu ended up lying on their application, which got them blacklisted.

Many things came to light that Dante was unaware of, including Lulu’s decision to have an abortion during high school.

Dante And Lulu Looked For A Surrogate-Maxie Was Able And Willing

Dante and Lulu began their search for a surrogate, and at that time, Britt was Lulu’s OBGYN; Britt managed the process of retrieving Lulu’s eggs, obtaining Dante’s sperm, and creating some embryos.

Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) agreed to be their surrogate, which is quite unrealistic since transplant patients are not eligible to be surrogates, and she had undergone a heart transplant. Nevertheless, Britt successfully used their biological materials.

She created three embryos, and the first one was implanted in Maxie, who was expecting Dante and Lulu’s child. Things took a turn when Maxie fell and suffered a miscarriage.

Maxie Lost Dante And Lulu’s Baby Then Got Pregnant By Spinelli

Afterward, she had a one-night stand with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and ended up pregnant. Maxie deceived everyone by claiming the baby was Lulu’s, not even informing Spinelli.

In reality, it was her and Spinelli’s child, now named Georgie Jones Spinelli (Lily Fisher); this led to a complicated custody dispute as Spinelli, Lulu, and Dante all sought custody.

They were shocked by Maxie’s deception, and ultimately, Spinelli was awarded custody. This left Lulu heartbroken and Maxie prohibited from seeing her daughter.

The Story Of Rocco Who Started Out As Baby Ben

The next embryo used was the one that turned into Rocco; at that time, Britt had just been dumped by Emma’s dad, the very attractive Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson). One reason for the breakup was Britt’s mean nature and her hatred for Patrick’s daughter, Emma.

Remember how she kept saying she barbecued her doll-she actually did—she set her favorite doll on fire. So, Britt took one of Lulu and Dante’s embryos to implant in herself-Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) performed the implantation because you can’t do it on your own.

She placed the baby in Britt, who then told Patrick that she was expecting his child-Britt did bond with the baby during her pregnancy, but Patrick turned her down.

Patrick Rejected Britt

He didn’t want her and claimed he would fight for custody-Britt then convinced her friend, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen), to pretend he was the baby’s father.

That was the lie Britt began to spread; by the way, it was Brad who revealed the truth about Georgie’s DNA when she was being referred to as baby Connie. He was the one who informed Lulu and Dante that the baby wasn’t theirs, but he and Britt remained close friends.

Britt informed Patrick that Brad was her sperm donor since she was eager to have a child. Later, Britt gave birth to her son, whom she named Benjamin, one night at Wyndemere when she went into labor and couldn’t reach the hospital in time.

Britt Gave Birth On Spoon Island, And Became Very Involved With Nikolas

She delivered him on Spoon Island. Britt had to fabricate another story about Ben, also known as Rocco, and his parentage because he obviously didn’t look half-Asian, which contradicted the stories she had told about Brad.

Britt then explained to Nikolas Cassadine ( then Tyler Christopher), whom she was dating and about to marry, that she had actually taken a sperm sample from the hospital.

These are two fascinating embryo stories, but the timeline is even more surprising; there’s a significant overlap.

Maxie gave birth to baby Connie, also known as Georgie, on August 21, 2013, and then she gave the baby to Lulu, deceiving her best friend and Spinelli.

How The Truth Came Out

Less than three weeks later, Britt gave birth to Lulu and Dante’s biological son; by October 2013, it was revealed that Connie was actually Maxie and Spinelli’s child. Lulu wished to keep the baby, but Spinelli contested and gained custody.

Naturally, Lulu was heartbroken and without a child, yet at the same time, across town on Spoon Island, she had a biological child without knowing it.

Britt had Rocco and was raising him with Nikolas-Rocco was born on September 9, 2013, meaning there were only about three weeks between the births of these children.

It was in February, when Ben, also known as Rocco, was five months old, that Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) observed that Britt’s son had a latex allergy, similar to Dante.

Elizabeth Helped Figure Out The Truth

Liz noticed more similarities-Nikolas also told Liz that Britt used a sperm donor; Elizabeth secretly tested DNA and confirmed the baby was Dante’s, but they didn’t realize it was the embryo child.

Lulu and Dante discovered this in February 2014, thinking Britt had merely taken Dante’s sperm, the full truth was still hidden; by that time, Britt and Nikolas were preparing for marriage.

Britt chose to partially confess to her fiancé-she revealed that Liesl had taken Dante’s sperm sample but kept the part about Lulu to herself.

In a dramatic twist, Britt wrote a letter to Lulu confessing everything to relieve her conscience. She planned to burn the letter but mixed up the envelopes.

Nikolas Dumped Britt For Deceiving His Sister

Elizabeth found the letter and rushed to Lulu, unfolding the shocking truth-at Britt and Nikolas’ engagement party, Lulu arrived and dropped the bombshell, shocking her brother Nikolas.

Naturally, he broke up with Britt, and she was arrested for taking Lulu’s last two embryos; one was Rocco, and Liesl had the other.

Here’s the crazy part: when Nikolas confronted Britt about taking Lulu’s child, Britt retorted, “I stole an embryo, not a baby. They’re not the same.” Even crazier, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) got Britt off.

She didn’t serve time for stealing the embryo because, at that time there were no laws to clarify whether embryos were considered property or a biological matter.

Lulu Was Gracious In Letting Britt Say Goodbye To “Ben”

There weren’t many laws in place; recently, states have made significant changes regarding how embryos are legally treated.

At this time, Liesl had Ben while Britt was dealing with criminal charges-after she got away without punishment, she turned against her mother. She took Ben and finally returned him to his true parents, Lulu and Dante, in April 2014.

Britt had been acting as Rocco’s mother for about seven to eight months, in addition to the nine months of pregnancy.

Lulu was quite gracious; she even allowed Britt to say goodbye to the child she had given birth to-later, after Nikolas left her, she was left in a tough situation.

Lulu And Dante Discovered Their Third Embryo Wasn’t Viable

In a streak of bad luck, Lulu and Dante discovered in 2016 that their third embryo was not viable. Here’s a quick bonus: the Charlotte Cassadine (then played by Scarlett Fernandez) embryo storyline also fits into these timelines.

Shortly after Britt and Liesl took the last two embryos, Lulu was kidnapped by Stavros Cassadine (Robert Kelker-Kelly), who took an egg with the plan of having a child with her.

He was murdered, and afterward, Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) took Lulu’s egg and fertilized it using her son Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) sperm to create an embryo.

Valentin then took the embryo and had a surrogate carry his daughter, who became Charlotte, as he didn’t want Helena to raise the child and complicate things.

Both Of Lulu’s Children Are From Stolen Embryos

Due to SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome), Charlotte’s birth date was changed to 2008; Lulu’s two children were both born via surrogate and resulted from stolen embryos.

Britt truly loves and cares for Rocco, but that doesn’t excuse her actions-Lulu understandably still despises Britt and likely always will.

That’s why when Rocco says “other mother,” it feels heartbreaking because Lulu had no control over what happened and lost precious time with her son.

She intended to use those embryos to have children, but only one of the three was viable, and she discovered the secret one years later. Now she has Rocco and Charlotte.
